Australian Servers: Evidence and Reasoning

IF YOU'RE AN AUSTRALIAN THAT WISHES TO SHOW THEIR SUPPORT PLEASE BUMP!
IF YOU'RE AN AMERICAN THAT WANTS AUSSIES OUT OF YOUR HAIR PLEASE BUMP!
IF YOU'RE A BRIT, "Cup o' tea guvnah?"
Having played Crossfire for over a year and with that, long before the West Coast server was released I have a good deal of experience with having high ping. I'm not complaining, or ranting about the lack of an Australian server being detrimental on my gameplay, and I cannot say that in good conscience, for it would be an outright lie. I still manage to keep a definite positive KDR, having never reset it and having used the same account from the beginning. Before saying that there are already countless threads on this subject, take into account that nearly, if not ALL of them are simply "I'm tired of having high ping Z8Games make an Aussie server NOW", except with considerably worse spelling/grammar/etc and that I'm trying to provide intelligent reasoning behind my demands.
---
What I'm aiming to provide with this topic is infallible reasoning that if Z8Games were to host an Australian server (or multiple Australian servers) they would only increase their already substantial profits. (Cause heck, they can't spend too much on our crappy servers can they? :P)
Australian Video Game Demographics
(anything in italics was added by me, anything between [ ]'s is a link to the above statements' source)
"Two-thirds of Australians play games. Just under half of gamers are women."
[First Line of Article]
"In 2008, 88% of Australian households have a device for playing computer games."

"Most households have one installed gaming device."

However, that's a rather arbitrary statement, as from the above graph you can tell more households have MULTIPLE game devices, then those with one.
[Level 1 - Stage 1]
"The average age of computer game players in Australia is now over 30 years."

30 year old people that work full time, have a considerable pay packet and are more then inclined to spend money on gaming, from the below graph you can see that a very considerable portion of gamers in Australia are employed full-time.

"Most Australian gamers earn over $52,000 a year."

[Level 2 - Stage 2]
"Most gamers player for an hour, or more, at a time."

[Level 2 - Stage 3]
The Australian computer games industry is growing at more than 15% per year and conducted sales of AUD1.3 billion in 2007 according to GfK point of sale data.
Over 2 billion dollars in 2009.
[Last Page]
"15% of Australian Gamers prefer FPS games over all other genres."

[Level 7 - Stage 2]
"90% of game households have PCs and these are used by most gamers."
"Among all media used in Australian households, the Internet is now the preferred medium for entertainment and leisure."
Note that this is in 2008, figures like this have been steadily increasing in the past years.
[Page 5 - Major Findings]
Conclusion: Australians spent over 2 billion dollars solely on the video game industry in 2009. Over two thirds of Australian's play video games, and 15% of them play FPS games, of these people 39% of them choose a computer as their gaming medium. Totalling a theoretical audience of 872,000 people, roughly three quarters of them playing a game for over an hour at a time, nearly half of them every day.
If I could get the ratio of paying Crossfire:NA players to non-paying Crossfire:NA players, and data on the average ZP bought etc, I could determine the theoretical profit Z8Games would make from this decision, but alas, I do not have those statistics and thus can do no such thing.
Closing Note: Most of this information was gathered from an independent study done by Bond University and compiled for the Interactive Entertainment Association of Australia. This is the third study of its kind since 2005 including two previously published studies: GamePlay Australia 2005 and Interactive Australia 2007, each including over 1600 households, bringing the total subjects used in this study to an approximate 20,000. This is essentially a four year study on video gaming habits in Australia. You can read it in it's entirety here.

Last time I tried to make a serious post, it got locked because of spam (their way of avoiding an issue), so please keep it clean guiz.
Normally I wouldn't care, but that first post took me like an hour to compile. -

I liked how you brought this up, rather than moaning(like I did with UK server), you actually presented it well and that is more interesting to look at.
I would support the aussie server, but I think G4Box is only licensed to put servers in US, Canada and UK only. -
I honestly see an Australia-based company picking up Crossfire before Z8Games do.
Mmm. So I should do up a presentation and try and sell it off to a local game distributor?
How do I go about contacting the original game developers? I have a way, but it may not be the best.Anyway. We won't add one. Fetch a tutorial for the versions closer to your location.
You could of said why, I have heard some reasons, but I have no evidence supporting it. Could you tell me why you won't add one? Is it due to licensing issues?
The closest version is Japan and, yes, I play it. 95 ping is considerably better then the 178 I get on West Coast server, but if that's what I get on CF:JP, I'd be cruising around 40 ping most likely on a local server. I lol'd cause you said "Fetch a tutorial" and I've made three of them (for China, Korea and Japan). -

I can't advise you on how to take players from Z8.. But contacting the developers would theoretically work yes. They're G4Box. Of course they're unlikely to take you seriously.
We can't add an Australian server due to legal issues - licensing, yes.
I wouldn't know what you have and have not written, but if you've written one - use it. -
I lol'd at this INCREDIBLY hard. Ridculously hard, the kind of laughing where it's like "Dude, stop laughing, you're an idiot." I'm lying, but it would equate to ROFL.I can't advise you on how to take players from Z8..
Well, maybe if I do it somewhat like I did in this thread? With the whole "You can make a bunch of money if you do this guiz." ploy? But contacting the developers would theoretically work yes. They're G4Box. Of course they're unlikely to take you seriously.
I take it that means there's a snowball's chance in hell of a licensing revision? We can't add an Australian server due to legal issues - licensing, yes.
I don't need to, I have an account on every distribution of Crossfire except PCF.I wouldn't know what you have and have not written, but if you've written one - use it.
I play Crossfire Japan a lot more then Crossfire NA&UK. I'm nearly the equivalent of silver bar on it, and I'm semi fluent in Japanese. So yeah. -

There's licensing issues that stop them from doing it, however possibly this thread and enough community support could convince them to get it changed, if they can? I'm not even sure.. -
And the reason why I'm petitioning so hard for this, even though I don't gain that much from it personally is because, seriously, WHY THE F*** NOT?
The recent move they made adding a UK server, really set me off. Because they now service all of the modern western world, except Australia. I mean this is like RACISM.
This is Huntington's map of major civilizations
What constitutes Western civilization in his view is coloured dark blue.
It's relatively commonly agreed upon, that's he is somewhat, if not entirely correct. -

I'm sure they could get licencing for Australia since nobody else has the rights as far as I know.
From what I've gathered they have a ready market available and would be remiss if they didn't at least explore the option instead of outright dismissing it. -
Nationalism you mean. Get the facts right there. And as I stated before, and as stated Saidin into the common suggestions, they have no plans to get a server. So basically, the thread is pointless, since Z8 won't do anything. But yeah =/ That's Z8 =/ ...And the reason why I'm petitioning so hard for this, even though I don't gain that much from it personally is because, seriously, WHY THE F*** NOT?
