Crossfire with Windows 7

Hey guys, I recently got Windows 7.

Heres my problem:

If I run Crossfire without using compatability mode, my sound works good but my ping starts spiking alot, up to 250 and it stays there.

But when I run Crossfire using compatability mode with Windows XP SP 3, my ping is much lower (170) but my sound is completely messed up, it starts buzzing and everything, it just doesnt work properly.

I've had this before but I avoided it by opening Crossfire by going:

CF/Properties/Open File Location/crossfire.exe

But now when I try that it says to start the game again, so I have to start it with The G4Box..

I'm using wireless internet, its private and no one else uses it.

Im sure this is not an ISP problem, but a problen between Windows 7/XP and Crossfire.

So any Windows 7 users please tell me your settings when you play CF.
