Ping issues / Bad lag

Since the last patch the game has become unplayable in many maps. I have played crossfire for over a year and now and never had an issue but since the last patch my ping rates have gone through the roof. What Gives?

I had the same problem.. after this patch, my ping turn up to 500!! it should be 190!!!
what is happening? its not a virus..

nw my ping 400+
before ***n patch was 180

i think Gms doesnt care about Middle East ppl so they wont fix the lag

Go to the UK server! Well sucks for you because I started playing around June of '09 and when I first started playing, my ping was about 84-87. Now almost a year later, it is 55-57

Could u pls tell us wut your internet connection type is?, like DSL or cell modem and as UMTS or HSDPA.

Yes, that would help out alot. And also, maybe tell where you live, because your ping really depends on where you live.

Im not having lag problems
im having trouble loading the xtrap engine when i start the game
xtrap suckssssssssss
it takes me 5 minutes of waiting just for a pop up on my screen to tell me that the xtrap engine has timed out
IT SUCKS!!!

this has been happening for 2 patches
and it takes about 3 tries to start CF and if i disconnect from CF i get really ****ed

I'm in Florida and using Comcast, the #1 or OF THE TOP 3 where I live and maybe even in the world!!! On cable modem, THE BEST for gaming.

So the problem is NOT on my side.

I play another game, GunZ and other games that monitor and display your ping, and NO PING PROBLEMS EVER!!!

Now, after this last patch I got ping issues. It's just.......****ED. My ping is 130, 246, spike as high as 600!

So the ping problems is on CF's side. Let's pray they fix this in the next patch and that the next patch comes by soon.

I'm also in the US in MN and using DSL. i play many online games with no trouble and have been playing crossfire for a long time with no troubles until this patch. so I know it's related to the crossfire game and the recent patch.

NETWORK issues has nothing to do with OUR GODDAMN PCS!!!

****ing dumbass lag ****in me off. Crossfire WAS FINE until after those 3-4 hours with that last patch! The patch had some great additions, but we'd rather have the game be PLAYABLE, rather than using some new weapons in this mediocre lag.
