Run-time error. What to do? :X

Hello dear forum members.. I just finished to download the patch of the game, by using a download site, not the official crossfire.com. Well, the problem is when i click to start the game, it says: Run-time error; Invalid procedure call or argument.
I really dont know how to act in that case. Can somebody post some help, the fastest possible?
