Foum bumping

I am asking out of curiosity really, but why are we not allowed to bump our threads in the clan section of the forum? I mean If a clan writes a recruitment thread and it gets no posts for a few days and disappears out of eye's sight, what is the issue with giving it an occasional bump?

I understand rules are rules, im just curious to the reasoning behind it. I would personally rather bump my recruitment thread once a day than to have to write a new one out every other day.

I have found they do allow it but only to an extent.

ahh i see, i just thought they started to clamp down on it a bit. I would rather bump my recruitment thread up once in a while rather than writing it all over again. i am not talking about a bump an hour, just a bump a day. and i wouldn't just write "Bump" I would post on how the clan was doing so it wouldn't be an indirect bump.
