Hello,

It's the first year for me at the IGCSE department, I joined it for a better education. Whatever, I've just finished my 8th week exams and I was shocked by grades that I got .. A at Maths, E at Chemistry, E at Biology and C at ESL .

My teachers told me that I've to practice by answering past papers questions and I am doing my best at this point but, my main problem is the time management, how can I fix that point ? My mates and my teachers told me that I should put a time limit while answering, but when I do, I find that I answered only few questions.
Another problem is English listening, it's totally bad ! My teacher advised me to listen a lot of English songs but I don't feel that I am getting betrer plus I can't find enough time for songs.

So, how can I get better ? Some of teachers say that's normal because it's the first year at IGCSE department amd I'll take my time to get better and other say I've to get better quickly.. Help me please and give me your advices, I'm waiting for your replys.

The way I was told to do it is if you are having trouble answering 1 question, move on to the next one and come back to that at the end.
That way, you have time to answer all the stuff you do know, and if you run out of time, you didn't get the ones you don't know.
If you didn't know them, you might not get them anyway, so you have a better chance getting higher marks by answering questions you do know
