ZM2 Battleship - Tips?

Hi
I've yet to complete Battleship! I always end up with crap players who keep leading the bosses near the target so we end up losing.

I would appreciate if you Battleship Aces could share any tips or tricks for winning this map.

  • Yea I suggest trying to play with some knowledgable players to see how they do it. It'd help a lot.

However, as always it's a good idea to know who your team is and that they understand and can communicate. Then need to make sure everyone places defenses as Turrets and Shockers are a good line of defense. Claymores help out majorly too as sometimes the Soldiers side step past and run into the base.

Of course make sure you have a good weapon. I'd suggest a KAC if you don't have access to a Tesla or AA12 Busters. You can get a free KAC by playing on ZM2 Shattered Station Hard. Try to make sure your team is at least using MGs and not rifles for this as well. (also once you clear Battleship on normal you'll get a BluePrint Book which allows you to create any of the blueprint items once per day as long as you've beaten a ZM2 match that day. that means you can continuously make KACs from it as well.)

When playing against the mech bosses generally it's a good idea to save your Defense Shop points up until his weak spot is exposed then throw the lightning rods at him. This will cause massive damage. If you're fast you should be able to get 2 in before the weak spot goes away again. Similarly if you have Tesla/AA12 busters make sure you and your team use the special when the weakspots are open as otherwise you're losing out on a lot of damage potential. And since the boss targets 1 person usually it'd be a good idea to have that person run a large circle around the boss when he's targeting them with the gatling but even more importantly the laser beam of death and make sure everyone else knows the path so they don't get caught up in it. Running the circle around him will make sure you don't get hurt by it those two attacks.

For more novice teams it might be a good idea to have one person who the boss isn't targeting to stick back by the base with all the defenses making sure any enemies coming towards it get wiped out as well. As everyone once in awhile something will sneak through.

I've honestly found battleship to be easier than Shipyard myself as it seems beatable with fewer "pro" players on the team than shipyard.

  • Well, if you happen to be interested right now, UK4 - Channel 6 - Room 11.

Practice should always be better than theory!

  • Strategies for Battleship

There are not much left to say mainly cuz these forumers mentioned almost everything.
just some strategies when fight against boss and tips.
    Tips
    1. Establish the defense near the base
this can prevent these blue drone(missiles) and some small monsters. Especially in wave 5 and wave 15, when everyone are concentrating on boss, these turrets are becoming important.
    2. Use claymore to kill monsters quicker.
    3. Use lighting rod to damage boss.
Always dealt good damage at spider, but for bosses in wave 10 and wave 15, can have a good damage when their weak spots exposed, you can deliver insane damage by throwing lighting rod and you have time to do 3 times. And also lighting rod is effective when the boss are using plasma beam skill.
and if you have access to an AA12-Buster, when the boss weak point exposed, you have time to deliver 10 throwing nades from AA12-Buster and 2 lighting rod.
    Bosses
    Wave 5 spider
the easiest one(logic), just remember don't lead that boss near base, cuz this spider summon many small monsters who will always rush targeting the base. Use lighting rod to kill relatively fast.
Wave 10 bot and 15 bot
they are similar so I put them together, avoid the spray by run a while with melee and avoid the lighting beam by go to the direction which perpendicular to the beam and do circle mouvement.

    weapons/char
the basic set could be KAC + damage reduced character items from zombie mode.
the best set would be VIPERS(mouvement speed) + AA12-Buster + zombie mode ammo + damage reduced character items.

I think this is all what i can think of.

    peace out/
