That's because GM's can't keep up with the farmers and so they punish everyone who has participated, by reducing their public kills. It works faster for them, unfortunately.
I wish there was a second version of this event, and done right this time but I strongly doubt it.

Please do not create duplicate threads. The event is not over and the EP will be distributed during the maintenance as you received the information from support before.
