  • Same story. different year. China wins. Congratz. Did we even have a team? WOW. not sure.
  • Flipside made it to the grand finals? Insane...
  • cfs 2016 china win!!

los chinos son buenos jugadores. felicidades nuevamente!!!!
  • That was an intense finals match.

My personal thoughts/opinions: I personally would have liked to see Flipsid3 win the second map (Sub Base). They came out very strong on Sub Base, but I must say VG's performance was equally spectacular. Flipsid3 was keeping VG at bay for the majority of the rounds with their great teamwork (not to mention some spectacular grenade kills from Flipsid3), but I could tell VG ultimately broke Flipsid3's momentum in overtime when DAOBOQ threw that incredible flash grenade and picked off phaze. Overall, very well deserved win for VG in my opinion.

On the topic of China... I was personally rooting for AG. However, AG's position of 6th place is unfortunate, but decidedly so. They're lacking an order, which I believe is what lead them to make some very poor decisions during their games against ruLegends and VG. It's like everyone on the team had their own ideas of what the strategy for each round should be and no one was coordinating. Some of them were especially cringe worthy: playing too aggressively on the defense for no good reason other than what I believe to be overconfidence, slow to react when opposite side had put down bomb, and not waiting for backup to arrive first before initiating fire which caused them to always be unnecessarily down a person very early on in the rounds. Once again, just my opinion.

Also, I mentioned this at the other post (I'd hope it's okay to repost it here since this one is the congratulations thread for VG): For anyone that stayed to watch the short Q&A with VG after their victory, I want to point out that the girl could have done a much better job translating MZiN's responses. I'd like to clarify and provide better translations to two questions in particular.

Color key: Host's question. My translation of MZiN's response. Translator's version of MZiN's response. (My thoughts)

    Question #2
Host's question: What do you think of your performance throughout the three days of these finals? (The translator emphasized thoughts on the *team* which is why MZiN responded the way he did.)

My translation: "My teammates mean everything to me; they're the best. We get along very well with each other and have worked hard for the past year to get to where we are today. It wasn't easy. I truly thank my teammates."

Translator's version: "Of course we are the best and all players are the best. And also we are really hard work and we are only built one year, but we are hard too, and make the best place today." (Don't ask me what she's trying to say, I don't know. Sigh.)

    Question #3
Host's question: In the second map, when Flipsid3 were ahead by a few rounds, did they (VG) ever worry or panic that they would lose that match?

My translation: "We've had a lot of experience with different competitions and competing with different teams, so there's been plenty of times where things didn't look good for us. Flipsid3's growth and performance definitely brought a lot of pressure on us, but we never give up. We have to see a match through to the end."

Translator's version: "Of course we are nervous and we never imagined we will see so better and also we are better in the finals so we are work hard and we have better teamwork and also we got the champion." (I feel like MZiN's words went in one ear and out the other. That or she has the memory of a fish.)

Uh oh, I think I'm getting into CF Competitive now :O (Just watching anyway, I'd rather continue to play CF for fun -- plus no one would want my subpar skills on a pro team ahaha). Anyway, this is my first time watching a Crossfire tournament and it's awesome. I would totally go to a bar and watch this on TV. 0.0

D: Omg hi and you are very welcome! First of all, congratulations on second place. ^~^

If you see phaze, tell him he did an amazing job scoping out the opposite team (not sure what the technical word for that is, but basically I noticed that phaze did a great job playing mid, which I assume helped you guys make some great calls as to whether to plant A or B -- I could be way off on this though since I'm just guessing here and cannot listen in on what you guys were saying). Overall, though, I'm surprised with how many times you guys went A. The commentator mentioned that in Sub Base, ruLegends always went mid to B... Yeah, well, B is easier to play than A in my opinion.

Some of my favorite Flipsid3 moments:
    - First half: When 18 tried to wrap around A to catch you guys from the back, but phaze was one step ahead... Or behind, should I say. Ahaha, I was dying, such a great kill. It's like when someone tries to make you trip but ends up tripping themselves lmao.
    - Second half: When Snox gets a headshot after taking a flash grenade. The commentator was just like, "Yep, why not". Snox definitely made it look easy :3

Okay D: I could probably ramble on forever, so I'll just stop here.
