Ping

Anyone's ping messing up in the NA servers? My internet seems to be working fine on other games, but here it's stuck at 50 and goes up to 100 sometimes...

You guys don't play long enough to see the games flaws like we players do. Either that, or these Ping issues only occur in specific regions to random players.
xD I did have a major ping change but it wasn't for the worse I use to have 34-35 and haven't changed my provider and it went to 17-18 starting couple months back. -

Nice bro. Though in this thread, we were just discussing Ping spikes/abnormal lag issues caused by CF. Not everyone experiences these issues but many players that are susceptible from it, have stable connections which is why it's baffling to understand. -

Yeah no its not bell its these garbage servers..
My Speed does not move and most of the time on CF I have an increased ping then what I should have soooooooooooooooooooooooo yeh -

Fair enough, you used to play a lot, guess you were lucky then or it's just been getting worse over the years. Here is my recent VM Speed Test:
Isn't it enough for a healthy/stable speed around here? If so.. why do I usually get spikes from 30's to the 100's (everyday lately)... and no, my speed isn't nerfed/throttling, at least not outside CF. -
First off the servers are in Toronto if I'm not wrong so anyone that lives there should have a ping of 10 or less. my ping used to be a stable 17 but I moved and now it a stable 30~ (to be fair there is 3 other ppl using the internet here ). I really hate ppl that blames the servers because their ping is spiking because their parent, friends, watching a stream, Roommate, phone, bad cable, overheated modem and bunch of stuff is a factor that could effect your ping even for a split second the only time it's the server fault is when multiple ppl are suffering from it at the exact same time.

I 'hate' people too, when they keep backing up the Servers, just because they never experienced any problems on their behalf or when they think that the victims with Ping issues are 'only' the ones who share their internet speeds with others... as if we are stupid before commenting about such problems, lmao.
I already shared my VM (cable) speed test results above, and I never share internet with anyone, but still I have random speed issues in-game, only when playing CF.. which only makes myself belief that there's something shady about the Servers (depending on where players play from).
I give up.. seems like this 'unstable Server(s) issue' will die along here without any solutions, because only a minority of us have a voice to speak up about these issues.. -
Questions to ask yourself before whining about the server status/ping. Do you have a high-end modem/router? When do you lag? Most neighborhoods are connected to the same large box, owned by the ISP. The net is split from that box. That's why people lag on evenings. Have you ever considered it might be settings/programs on your own side, slowing down the package sent to the servers? For example, my ping goes from 20 to 40 when I have my router protection turned on. Antiviruses etc can do this too. I hear a lot of people whine about the server status, whilst I hardly ever go above 25 ping. Thus, I think you should consider your side more than you are. A simple speedtest which only shows the connection to your provider, won't show anything about the connection from the net to the servers or data hindrance between.

I have a decent one, not very expensive but it does have good ratings for Modem connectivity: http://www.expertreviews.co.uk/networks/wireless-routers/50381/virgin-media-super-hub-review When do you lag? I don't lag, I spike (for a couple seconds, before it settles down again & so forth). It happens randomly, every other minute or two, through-out the game, (almost all games, recently). Most neighbourhoods are connected to the same large box, owned by the ISP. The net is split from that box. That's why people lag on evenings. Not sure what you mean but I doubt it is the case. Have you ever considered it might be settings/programs on your own side, slowing down the package sent to the servers? For example, my ping goes from 20 to 40 when I have my router protection turned on. Antiviruses etc can do this too. I disable my protections, when I'm gaming. I hear a lot of people whine about the server status, whilst I hardly ever go above 25 ping. That's what puzzles me, maybe your just part of the lucky players who get unaffected. 'Maybe' it's to do with a less interfered location. Thus, I think you should consider your side more than you are. A simple speedtest which only shows the connection to your provider, won't show anything about the connection from the net to the servers or data hindrance between. True but, it's a start, to show speed stability.
I did say I wouldn't bother anymore.. as we never have had a proper response with solutions that worked.. but just for the fun of it I answered you.
Just to add, my computer isn't that good at all.. it's pretty old (HP 2009).. though, that hasn't got anything to do with the speeds/pings (other than FPS it'self). I had no changes to my hardware/ISP in ages, thus I don't believe it's from my side, since it was working before.. hence why I think it's the Servers issue's side, at least for some of us (who are experiencing these issues ATM). Maybe all these Laggers (with bad ISP's from the Middle East, ect) and Hackers are messing up with our Servers again, that's why most of us with least (but sufficient) spec's are more victimised by such problems from time to time (these issues have happened in the past and got better, but they rise again, when it feels like it).. so confusing. -
I do the test on speedtest and it's always the same. My ping on other games/versions are always the same. My ping raised on last years Halloween Patch (it wasn't just mine) and since then it's been spiking and spiking. Sometimes it stays at 50 and starts lagging a ton making it unplayable.

I've been playing in the UK servers to do the event, and my ping was 115, which is the ping I usually have. I go back to UK and have 50+... But it's clearly my internet, I guess...
Just went to see my ping on uk servers and it decreased by 20 lmao..
