[MOD]Rex Stepping Down
Hello everyone!
Many of you might not remember me, but for those that do I wanted to make a quick post to all of you.
It has been a long time coming… but as of 10/24 I have finally stepped down from my moderator position here at Z8Games. It has been quite the wild ride, but after 6 and a half years of the moderator tag I will be moving on to other things. I know many of you haven’t seen me around recently, I’ve been pretty busy working on my own projects and finishing my Software Engineering degree and for that I’m sorry. I do really love this community, the things it has achieved, all the events we’ve done together. I am definitely going to miss it, but I haven’t had time to be around here for a long time now and I need to finally step down. Part of me wishes I could be around with you guys forever, but another part of me is really excited for the things I’m going to be doing over the next few years.
In my time here we have done all sorts of things, from raising money for the relief efforts of Japan back in 2011 to raising a few thousand dollars for both St Judes and a local children’s health hospital in CrossFire’s back yard of Ontario. We have had all kinds of events and thousands of you tuned in for a number of 24 to 25 hour long broadcast sessions. This community has really made me proud over the years and I hope nothing but the best for all of you. I also really hope the CrossFire and Lost Saga communities can continue to coexist along with any future community Z8Games might bring along. The Lost Saga community has had it rough and I hope they are finally settled and comfortable with our home. From the beginning I wanted to be a moderator for the community, someone that the community could trust and come to openly and I hope that at least in my early years I was able to be that for some of you.
There are way too many people to try and make a thank you list, but in the end I have all of you to thank anyway. Many of you who have joined in the last year or two might not even know me, but you’re all part of the special community we have created here. I know the GMs will continue to love and support all of you, I know at times there are disagreements between both sides, but I do really believe in the game’s current staff to do well by all of you.
To those of you who would like to stay in touch, you can follow me on my twitter or chat with me on my discord
Thanks everyone,
Rex

Hey Rex,
It pains me to see you leave. Especially just after Ice left a few weeks ago. I would like to say that you were probably one of the best Moderators around when you were active. You knew a lot about the game and what needed to be done in order to improve it. You worked a lot in the behind the scenes of CrossFire and were helpful to a lot people on the forums and in-game.
If you need anything, I am always here to help! Good luck Rex in your future! You really helped the CF Community and you were here since day one. I can't express or thank you enough for everything you have done. I hope the future CF Community continues to grow and you will still come back every now and then. Without you, I am sure CrossFire wouldn't be what it is today.
Once again, it's pains me to see a old member of the community leave. All I can do is wish you the best of luck in your future! -
Working with you to improve the community and having you as their voice and representative was an amazing experience for me, and for the game.
The things you've done here are things to be proud of! And the community will be less now that you're gone!
I'm glad you're using your time to move on and expand your own skills and abilities. Good luck in all the things you do in the future. -
Thanks for the words you guys, it does mean a lot.
I'll still be playing the game occasionally so hopefully I'll run into you guys! -

I know you and the rest of the team didn't get to know me too well due to my inactivity since you guys have been around publicly, but I do appreciate you guys a ton and know you guys will continue to help and grow the community. I hope all goes well in the future for you guys, and by looking at your sig I'm glad there's someone that's taken over my role of holding up the ban hammer. Use it well! -
I never got to meet you, but it sure is a shame to see you step down. After seeing all of these kind words from other forumers, it looks like I missed out on meeting you. However, I wish you the best in real life with everything and hope to bump into you in game sometime. c;

Does this mean that we can finally finish the players-VS-mods game without anyone reset the counter at the last 5 numbers? O_O
Just joking ))
Goodbye Rex.. you sure are talented and made this forum a better place in the time you was active...I wish you the best of luck . -
I hadn't the opportunity to meet you due to my inactivity periods in this game, but you sure will be missed. I'm sending you the best of the wishes. Good Luck with your future projects. ~
(Btw subscribed!...you have some old videos from CF...I would have liked to see how you finished that Biohazard xD) -
We're all gunna miss you Rex
Best of luck with finals and finishing your degree etc. Also have fun with your projects. The best thing about majoring in CS/SE; is that you can actively apply what you learn into your own projects. Speaking from my own experience as well.
Also didn't know until now (after checking your Twitter) that you're into Runescape. I recently got back into it as well and have 4 extra bonds (due to premier gold membership dropping from 24->20) so if you want them for you and your friends, just hit me up.
I look forward to seeing your Youtube content

Rex the man, ah what could I say. We had some really good times back then, especially the 24 hour st Jude's stream lol grinding mutation mode for hours! That CSGO game with me you and c4 was hilarious. You seriously need to hop on CS more often! Nevertheless much love man, and good luck in your future endeavours.
