According to numerous reports, CrossFire 2 is meant to be a split in Remedy's Northlight engine which will be used in campaign mode while Unreal Engine 3 is used to PlayerVsPlayer mode. -
who says that CF isn't popular and addictive?
A chinese girl found after 10 years playing Crossfire to survive

BTW CF 2.0 should be bug free and enjoyable. -

I really wish that the DEV's would care enough to think a little about us VETERAN players who have been playing for so many years in this games version, could offer us a special permanent Beta starter promotion/compensation package in-order to entice us with motivation to give CF2 a chance.
Otherwise, I don't think many of us who have spent several years or hundred of days in this game are happy to start over again from scratch.. especially the current hard-core investors who have spent thousands of money on virtual needs. -

my source says StarBreeze would be in charge of the PVP/Co-op section using the Valhalla Engine..Smilegate revealed that Remedy is responsible for developing the story mode for the upcoming CROSSFIRE 2.

Good on you bro, no regrets.
I swear down, if they don't compensate us in any shape or form (for CF2) then I won't event bother with it.. I ain't starting again from scratch, with my weapons/items collection ect.. only these newb's or players with bad accounts can start over in CF2, since they don't have much to lose.. but for players like us Veterans, who spent so much money/game time, it's not the same.
Surely, SmileGate and Remedy Entertainment, will have some respect for us loyal hard-working players.. we will see.
Thanks for the link, XD -

StarBreeze is also involved however, they are making the PvP side of CrossFire 2 using another engine which hasn't been announced yet. Most likely Unreal Engine 3 since there a few reports in Korea which suggested this ever since Smilegate got hold of the rights to use it.
All links and information are on the webpage which Zyko posted. -

Oh okay bro, thanks for the info, I haven't been searching this so I needed to catch up.
I am still worried tho, about what fate this CF will have... I don't want it to end unwell. This game took a huge part of our Child/Adulthood..
Only wish these DEV's like SmileGate in particular had some morality of respect towards us veteran players and at least either do one of the two of the following:
* Merge all of the current CF versions into ONE big server or servers, (that way even if all CF versions drastically decreased out in big numbers after CF2's release, they could bind all existing CF communities of all CF versions into one and salvage what they can, just so CF1 could continue living on for those who desired).
OR
* Just compensate us (if CF1 shutdown) with a really great BETA complete Bag with a permanent Rifle, Pistol and Melee (as a symbol of respect for us players who have stuck around several years in CF1).
If only they read these forums and made it happen, ONLY then most old players like myself would definitely continue playing for the CF franchise.. ^ ^ -
I hope they make the game so grafically intense that egy's and Turks can't play it with their paper weights.
Lets hope is that the game is good enough not to die like CFNA. If the game is really good, full of people from the right region, we don't have to deal with 200 pingers in every corner looking for weapons. -

I feel the same way, but we have to get real. Look at how much they seem to care now, they barely bother to communicate to the community. They dont give a crap, us veterans should be happy if we get the equivalent of a regular M4A1 in CF2. -

I think they should give players something for being marshal / and how many vips you already own & weapons you've won etc / like 3vips in cf1 = 1 vip in cf2 or something along those lines, Would be a shame if we got nothing.. Wouldnt even bother downloading it tbh -

enable PMs, I need to PM u something -
I am glad you guys feel the same way. Us veterans who stuck by "thick and thin" during all these years, should be rewarded in some way for CF2. I doubt they will though, but if they really read our forums (for feed-back purposes), maybe there's a small % of chance that they have something for their 'loyal, old school players' to continue on with their franchise.
