Why are combat axes so OP?

Just a curious question, but why did they make it so that the axe can left click to the head and it is an insta kill?

Its an OHKO even if you have head armour. Its ridiculously fast and really needs to be nerfed with the speed in my opinion. Like, whats the point in using the right click and be skilled at the game when you can use the left click for easy kills, eh? Its soooo dumb. It should have a damaging left click and an insta kill right like all other weapons. I honestly hate axe users more than shovel ones. Its probably one of the least balanced weapons I've ever fought against.

Don't rush axe users.
Use ducking or jumping to counter them and lose some health instead of your life.

Run away from them, let your teammates deal with them. Running isn't a cowardly move and I suggest that you run from all opponents that you believe you can't fight against.

Fast weapons like dual karambit or knuckles are pretty useful in dealing with axe users, but it's like fighting fire with fire since you both end up fighting and seeing who hits faster.

The keris/kukri is a weapon that rivals the axe. The Keris's slashing is wider and the kukri's stab has pretty decent range.

The axe users I fought against usually moves back and forth like a pendulum.
The worst case scenario is if they're moving all over the place.

When they're moving like the pendulum, it is super weak against the keris's stab. Learn to play with keris and master it. Play against bots using only the stab attack until you know it's effective range.
Kukri players just move to the side left of them and stab.

Rules:
1. Always try to maneuver to their side and attack from there. Maneuvering techniques plays a huge part.
2. Jump/Duck then attack.
3.Move back immediately once you stab.
4.Don't rush them
5.Flee if you can
6. Know your weapon. Knowing how to maneuver while using it. The timing. The range.

I use a vip axe btw and I have noticed that sometimes the left click slash is not 1 shot kill on the head with someone that has head armour and I know they have head armour as it makes the same noise as when you don't manage to 1 tap someone on the head
. It's like the slash betrays me. Just saying that head armour is worth it against an axer.
