Feedback on recent Events!

Very nice idea let's ban those that farm the events but there's a small problem, most of people that posted in this thread are farming those events including myself and they used to farm for exp in order to get marshal. Especially previous wave mode events am i right claire9822 or it was the hmx event that you farmed more?

So I thought it be a good idea to write down some feedback regarding recent events published by CrossFire NA/UK. Please keep this topic civil.
CF Games 2016Positive:- Great idea, different from other events.
- Involves the whole CF Community.
- Players got to pick their own teams.
- There was a event tracker for this event.
Negative:- Rewards were not announced.
- Teams with inactive players didn't have a chance to win.
- Challenges were not announced on time.
- Encouraged players to farm.
- Rewards were distributed late without any information (Took 1 month).
Overall, this event had great potential to become something great. However, due to the challenges not getting announced on time, it led to confusion on some players and the rewards being delivered a month late thus, many players disliked this event. On the other hand, the idea was creative and this was one of these events that you don't see every month. To improve this event, there should of been some kind of requirement for each challenge (e.g. have at least 6 players), to reduce the number of players who were farming. It would of also been good to know the progress of the distribution of rewards and shouldn't of took a month to deliver it to the players.
CrossFire Goals - Sept 9 → Sept 20Positive:- The personal goals were achievable.
- Involves the whole CF Community.
- Players got varies of rewards for completing each task.
- There was a event tracker for this event.
Negative:- Community goals were too hard to achieve.
- Event tracker stopped working for a small period of time.
- Encouraged players to farm.
I personally really enjoyed doing this event even when the tracker was down, I knew how many kills I needed to complete each task. However, the community goals were not possible within the short period of time we had which was roughly 11 days. It also encouraged players to farm the personal goals where there was no requirement involved. To improve this event, community goals should of either been reduced or the days should of been extended. As for farming, there should of been some kind of requirements (e.g. have 6 players in a room) to reduce the number of players farming this event.
September Chaos! - September 7th - September 30thPositive:- The tasks are achievable.
- The rewards are good.
- There was a event tracker for this event.
Negative:- No mention of the delivery of the rewards.
- Tracker sometimes didn't track specific tasks.
- Encouraged players to farm.
Another event which involved players to do different tasks to get decent rewards. This event was near perfect apart from the tracker not being able to track specific tasks correctly. This did cause some problems for some players as they didn't know if they completed certain tasks and led into confusion over which tasks they done. Not to mention that nearly everyone in that thread asked about the delivery of the rewards however, there was no official response which let players into a guessing game. On the other hand, this event probably made players more active during this month of the year due to the tasks taking at least 2-3 weeks to complete. To improve this event, the GMs should of communicated better with the players about the event by answering a few questions such as the distribution of the rewards.
October Horror - October 4 - October 31Positive:- The tasks are achievable.
- The rewards are good.
- There was a event tracker for this event.
Negative:- Event Tracker completely messed up.
- Encouraged players to farm.
This event looked promising just like the September Chaos! It has similar rewards and tasks so players were familiar with this type of event. The rewards looked great, the tasks were achievable by the average CrossFire player. During this event, the event tracker wasn't tracking the correct data which might of mislead some players into thinking they completed the tasks for this specific event and once the event was over, it caused even more problems among players who thought they completed the tasks required for this event thus, you see a lot of players who made complaints about this event. It's definitely unfair to anyone who has put time and effort into this event to get nothing in the end.
If the event tracker isn't tracking the right data then remove it so players don't get mislead into thinking they have completed the tasks.
Rotting Ranks - October 20th - October 25thPositive:- The rewards are very good.
- Brings activity to Ranked Matches.
Negative:- Unplayable - Ranked Matches is full of hackers.
- Ranked Matches stopped working on the last 2 days for this event.
You don't really see many events surrounding Ranked Matches and that's probably because it's infested with hackers. It was definitely nice to see a event around Ranked Matches since it made more players play it so it was easier to find a game. Normally, you can't find a game because nobody wants to play it and even if you do, there's probably a good amount of hackers in that room. So it was a lose-lose situation for the legit players. If you want more players playing Ranked Matches then the GMs need to focus more attention on trying to get rid of the hackers. Furthermore, Ranked Matches stopped working two days before the event finished and there was no extension or a compensate event for the last two days which was disappointing since nobody could play Ranked Matches without getting a error.
But like I said before, I would definitely would like to see more events surrounding Ranked Matches as long as it's playable and not infested with hackers. So thumbs up for trying!
Trick or Treat - October 29th - October 31stPositive:- The rewards were good.
- Brings the community together.
- Tasks were easy. Play one game mode.
Negative:- No requirements were posted.
- The wording of the event lead confusion.
- No post on the forums. Only posted on Facebook.
The event made the CrossFire community to come together to work as one team. Everyone I knew said they would be playing TDM of the Halloween map and the passed this information to their friends so they would do the same. I saw couple of people post on the forums and Facebook to play on TDM. It was definitely great to see team spirit among the CF players, something you don't see very often these days.
However, it was later announced by the GMs after the event was over, that you needed to play 10 games to qualify for the reward for this event. Nobody knew this nor was it ever posted on the forums or social media. Thus, made a lot of players angry. The requirements for each event should always be posted before it ends so everyone knows what they need to do to qualify for the reward. Furthermore, the wording of the post on Facebook confused a few players. Some suggested that only the top 100 players would get the reward while others suggested that everyone got it. It would of been nice if a GM could of confirmed this.
Halloween Hunt EventPositive:- The rewards were great.
- You actually had to think before playing.
Negative:- Clue's were posted very late.
- Encouraged players to farm.
In terms of creatively and idea wise, this event was probably one of the best this year. You actually had to think before playing a game and the rewards were very good. This event would of been perfect if they posted the clues on time. One of the things the GMs could of done was to give the clues to the MODs so they could update the thread on time and thus, we wouldn't of had this problem.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the events need to be organised better. The foundations are there for each event but to make each one a success, the GMs need to get more involved with the community, intrust their Moderators and interact more with the players. If they do this, each event will be successful and that is the outcome that everyone wants.
If you made it this far, I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading this. Please share your feedback and opinions if you have any. Please also keep the topic civil.
Fully agree with this. -

Please do not start a flame war....
Farming should be seen as a petty... a Fake rank..
anyway i dont think farmers should get banned but they should definitely have a Locked EXP rate/amount
as well as have their Rank reset to LT... most if not all weapons via item mall shop are accessible with a LT rank...
honestly would be funny to have players who are caught farming have their ranks set back to Traniee lmao -

The whole point of this thread was to talk about how to improve future events and what errors have been made in the past which shouldn't be made again.
The topic "Farming" is only one of these issues which causes events to be not a success. I still do believe that having some kind of punishment for farming would be a good idea. -

I agreed also with what abel said. Great thread btw.
We got so much to improve like already stated, but IMO, one of the most annoying aspects regarding our events is when we get long tasks with very dull and repetitive objectives.. which then in turn, promotes players to farm on each other. If Z8 could counter this problem alone, with more imaginative, less repetitive goals, farmers would reduce in numbers , thus more players would have actual fun. -
Update: Add the Sniper week event to the list of failed events XD
i completed and i count 28 Sniper only TDM matches that matched all the Criteria for the event and im 100% sure they all did
tracker only shows 19/20 games completed.... lmao
i even did extra just to make sure this did not happen..

I'd love to see some GM responses to this thread myself just to see what they have to say about some of the events from their side. (note dont want them to argue the success/lack of success of an event but rather how they personally saw the event. and then to take notes on how the players felt over the events. then to implement changes to reduce the number of negatives in future events.)
I'm going to tack on some comments that are more overall that seem to be continuing trends for them on their events...
1)Not releasing info on time. There have been MANY events where the Info is released late into the day of an event which either makes it impossible for others to achieve the ultimate goal of the event or in the best case scenario makes players lose out on potential rewards. Some examples of this were the Event times during CF Games and the Clues during the Halloween Hunt. I'll also include the Trick or Treat event because it flat out never even made it to the forum announcements as far as i'm aware.
2)Lack of Information. There have been far too many events where some bits of information have been left off of the event announcements and talks. Some examples: CF Games stating after the fact that if you didn't participate in the event that got your team a Gold that you didn't qualify for it/ inactives would receive no rewards (despite still being counted in the scoring averages... in other words true and utter deadweight), Trick Or Treat...as stated this one didn't even make it to the CF Forum Announcements as far as i'm aware but it also didn't state that a minimum of 10 games had to be played.
3)Misleading/Conflicting information. There have been several times where the FaceBook and Forum announcements don't state the same things. There have also been issues with info graphics and text in announcements stating different things or even a picture of a reward that isn't the reward we're getting.
Information overview: There seems to be a real problem with information/communication within the Event Organization structure and even beyond... Information flow and clarity is vital to success in any scenario....so let's improve upon that. Doing so will result in greater events for all. This means providing correct information on time and then keeping players better updated on where something stands. The updated part is particularly important after an event has finished and the rewards are pending, primary example being CF Games event. Players were left in the dark for FAR too long over that.
4)Farming: This one is hard to prevent admittedly. Especially since you can argue there's different levels of farming....there's the one where people actually play but agree on a focused task and just letting each other kill one side for a fast event or just do the quick leave option. Then there's the bot farming who use scripts. I think for the sake of Events in an effort to reduce farming that locked rooms should NOT count for events. Especially the competitive based events. That way proof of people farming can actually be obtained and reported instead of "oh but you don't have proof so don't farmusate!". On top of that people who are caught farming competitive based events should be punished. And script using farmers should be flat out banned regardless when caught.
5)This one is more specific to CF Games: There should have been a "warm-ups" / "Try Outs" period this event due to it's nature with teams, averages, and inactives. During the WarmUps/TryOuts there would be 5 events to accomplish. Each player who entered into the event would need to accomplish these tasks to qualify for the actual event and be on their team they chose. This would, theoretically, cut down on the amount of inactives thus making each team more competitive against each other.
I could probably go on and on and break down more and get a little on the cynical side with fingers pointing too...but where's the good in that? besides I have an event to do....here's to hoping there's no issues with that event. Kinda sad we even have to say that...but when more than 50% of the events seem to have issues in one shape or another...well yea... -

OMG ><
After the update i always take screenshot and post it on main thread just to be sure xD -
Well , I have to say , that the latest events are running perfect especially the "RECONNAISSANCE " everything is working well atleast for me , the rewards are good , but the only thing is annoying me is that they arent changing the stuff on the EP shop i wanna see new things there , and remove the VIP , so nowadays people can get it for free while other people paid for it , where's the fair?
substantially, everything is related to the events is working well , expect what i mentioned up there!
Nice to see this thread active , keep up the good work
