Feedback on recent Events!
So I thought it be a good idea to write down some feedback regarding recent events published by CrossFire NA/UK. Please keep this topic civil.
CF Games 2016
Overall, this event had great potential to become something great. However, due to the challenges not getting announced on time, it led to confusion on some players and the rewards being delivered a month late thus, many players disliked this event. On the other hand, the idea was creative and this was one of these events that you don't see every month. To improve this event, there should of been some kind of requirement for each challenge (e.g. have at least 6 players), to reduce the number of players who were farming. It would of also been good to know the progress of the distribution of rewards and shouldn't of took a month to deliver it to the players.
CrossFire Goals - Sept 9 → Sept 20
I personally really enjoyed doing this event even when the tracker was down, I knew how many kills I needed to complete each task. However, the community goals were not possible within the short period of time we had which was roughly 11 days. It also encouraged players to farm the personal goals where there was no requirement involved. To improve this event, community goals should of either been reduced or the days should of been extended. As for farming, there should of been some kind of requirements (e.g. have 6 players in a room) to reduce the number of players farming this event.
September Chaos! - September 7th - September 30th
Another event which involved players to do different tasks to get decent rewards. This event was near perfect apart from the tracker not being able to track specific tasks correctly. This did cause some problems for some players as they didn't know if they completed certain tasks and led into confusion over which tasks they done. Not to mention that nearly everyone in that thread asked about the delivery of the rewards however, there was no official response which let players into a guessing game. On the other hand, this event probably made players more active during this month of the year due to the tasks taking at least 2-3 weeks to complete. To improve this event, the GMs should of communicated better with the players about the event by answering a few questions such as the distribution of the rewards.
October Horror - October 4 - October 31
This event looked promising just like the September Chaos! It has similar rewards and tasks so players were familiar with this type of event. The rewards looked great, the tasks were achievable by the average CrossFire player. During this event, the event tracker wasn't tracking the correct data which might of mislead some players into thinking they completed the tasks for this specific event and once the event was over, it caused even more problems among players who thought they completed the tasks required for this event thus, you see a lot of players who made complaints about this event. It's definitely unfair to anyone who has put time and effort into this event to get nothing in the end.
If the event tracker isn't tracking the right data then remove it so players don't get mislead into thinking they have completed the tasks.
Rotting Ranks - October 20th - October 25th
You don't really see many events surrounding Ranked Matches and that's probably because it's infested with hackers. It was definitely nice to see a event around Ranked Matches since it made more players play it so it was easier to find a game. Normally, you can't find a game because nobody wants to play it and even if you do, there's probably a good amount of hackers in that room. So it was a lose-lose situation for the legit players. If you want more players playing Ranked Matches then the GMs need to focus more attention on trying to get rid of the hackers. Furthermore, Ranked Matches stopped working two days before the event finished and there was no extension or a compensate event for the last two days which was disappointing since nobody could play Ranked Matches without getting a error.
But like I said before, I would definitely would like to see more events surrounding Ranked Matches as long as it's playable and not infested with hackers. So thumbs up for trying!
Trick or Treat - October 29th - October 31st
The event made the CrossFire community to come together to work as one team. Everyone I knew said they would be playing TDM of the Halloween map and the passed this information to their friends so they would do the same. I saw couple of people post on the forums and Facebook to play on TDM. It was definitely great to see team spirit among the CF players, something you don't see very often these days.
However, it was later announced by the GMs after the event was over, that you needed to play 10 games to qualify for the reward for this event. Nobody knew this nor was it ever posted on the forums or social media. Thus, made a lot of players angry. The requirements for each event should always be posted before it ends so everyone knows what they need to do to qualify for the reward. Furthermore, the wording of the post on Facebook confused a few players. Some suggested that only the top 100 players would get the reward while others suggested that everyone got it. It would of been nice if a GM could of confirmed this.
Halloween Hunt Event
In terms of creatively and idea wise, this event was probably one of the best this year. You actually had to think before playing a game and the rewards were very good. This event would of been perfect if they posted the clues on time. One of the things the GMs could of done was to give the clues to the MODs so they could update the thread on time and thus, we wouldn't of had this problem.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the events need to be organised better. The foundations are there for each event but to make each one a success, the GMs need to get more involved with the community, intrust their Moderators and interact more with the players. If they do this, each event will be successful and that is the outcome that everyone wants.
If you made it this far, I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading this. Please share your feedback and opinions if you have any. Please also keep the topic civil.

Negative:
- The rewards were good.
- Brings the community together.
- Tasks were easy. Play one game mode.
Negative:
- No requirements were posted.
- The wording of the event lead confusion.

Just being punctual with updating Info if they are being withheld up until the day they are supposed to be used and giving out the rewards in a timely manner, while having a tracker which doesn't completely go up in flames as soon as it's needed would already be a godsend.
You've done your Homework with this thread, well done. -
I was surprised that I could read the whole post, didn't know I could of done that. lol. I personally like events and I enjoy doing them if they are organised properly.
Recently, most of the events haven't really lived up to what they seem to be. This could be to many reasons but I mainly think the GMs need to push harder towards these kind of events and to organise them in a dictionary manner so everyone can get the best outcome from each event.
I couldn't agree more with you Abel, the GMs need to interact more with the community and get themselves in involved. Play the game more, know the content more, trust their players, trust their MODs etc etc -
I could add to Trick or Treat to negative that there was also a "no death" event on halloween map which worked only 1 day or 2. I told kanadian on twitch about no death event not working but he just ignore and answer to questions that don't have any sense.

Cf games 2016 I didnt get the ribbon because my team had mo chance. While everyone was spamming forum how this event was unfair they said that its fair. I wouldve had to play like 10 times more than uk or mexico player to increase my team average. Saying it fair while I had to play 10 hours for 1 hour of mexico player.
And halloween hunt was a disaster. In my time zone you posted clues in early morning and I have a life and i need to sleep. The thing is they did accept their mistake but only half of it. Because starting with third task the rest of tasks were late.
Nothing but bad communication with the players. Everything couldve been solved easily if someone just replied on forum.
Really dissapointed with events in the last few months.
Sorry for spelling mistakes im sleepy hhhhh -
That's some nice feedback there Abel and I can agree with you. However for the farming part, players will always find a way to farm an event, no matter what event it is. Although it wouldn't bother us too much in most events, I think the GM's should stay away from hosting team events, "top 10 players" event and focus on events that will give out rewards to individual players and community goals, where the farmers who farm events wouldn't ruin it for other players.
probably one of my most favourite events that I've enjoyed would of been the Summer School event they hosted last year. It wasn't too hard, nor too easy and we all had a selection of things to do, in our own time and we could make our own goals of what tier of rewards we wanted.
anyway, I think asking the community what kind of events we want and what type of rewards we want (whether that's crates, EP, temporary items or a mix of them) might make most of the community happy, as long as they keep a working tracker. -
Well, well, well... Feedback. Hmmm. I don't have much positive feedback on these last events. I have no idea what happened to Z8, they're failing so much on the events.
Events before were worth making, now they're not. I mean, don't get me wrong, the rewards are pretty nice, but the requirements are either too hard, or easy to farm. The tracker doesn't even seem to work properly anymore.
Z8, please, events are one of the few things that are keeping MANY players from not leaving the game. You guys need to put more work into events. For example, the Level Buster one. Did you guys even think about it, or did you guys just wrote random words and make an event? I mean, it takes less than 1 minute to rank up on a new account and Marshals had no chance at all. The trick or treat one was a troll, and I really hope Z8 doesn't do that ever again. Making rules after the event is done, is one of the most stupid things I've ever seen in my life. -
Rotting Ranks - October 20th - October 25th
Negative: Never said that we had to do those wins in one day and that we could repeat it in the next one.
Trick or Treat - October 29th - October 31st
Negative: Never said that we had to play at least 10 games to be able to qualify for that event. I played more than 20 games per game in the Halloween TD map although i never received those EP. -

I second this ^
OT:
Majority of the events of this year were nothing but piece of poorly managed junk. CF games 2016, Halloween Hunt, Rotting Ranks, Trick or Treat, Halloween Horror and November anarchy Events are full of fail events. -

I personally think the best solution to reduce farming is to make it a bannable offense. If you get caught farming, then you get a permanent ban. It will definitely reduce the number of players who do it however, it won't fully stop it. -

Completely agreed with all of the above!Totally Agree, another thing I'd like them to fix is the crate winning rates because its almost Impossible to win anything unless you are a low rank or spin tons of cratesI personally think the best solution to reduce farming is to make it a bannable offense. #retweetThis has already been said a gazillion times, but it's luck. I spent hundreds of dollars and for YEARS never won anything. In the last 6 months I've won 4-5 different items. Anyways back OTWhile I think this should be implemented for certain events that, as you said, can be farmed, I don't think banning farming in general is the way to go. My main problem with that is how do you decide what constitutes farming and what doesn't? If I play HM with VIPs in all my bags, and invite a few friends who also have VIPs to play with me, is that farming? If I step away from my computer mid-game and the people I'm playing against base-kill me until I get back, is that farming? Certainly there are people where it's obvious (Attitude is a good example) but overall I don't think it will work.Overall nice review abel. The things I agreed the most with were the lack of information for events (includes broken trackers) and also poor event type choices (events that require heavy farming to win). As others have said, better overall organization is the key thing.
I think it's pretty clear when someone farms or not. I mean, you can clearly see by their KDR. If you go to the washroom mid game, your friends won't get a 50 KDR by killing you while chilling in base. People that farm don't really bother me, tbh. But it bothers me that they show up on the EXP Ranking. People who play a lot, try to make as much EXP as they can, will never see themselves on Top 100, just because people with no lives like to farm.
Anyway, still waiting for my October Horror rewards. Is it going to take 1 year to get it? -

When I say farming, I mean a player who kills one or more AFK (Away From Keyboard) players over and over again until they reach a certain goal (e.g. 100 kills). For me, farming is classed as cheating since your finding the easiest route to complete a certain task.
Of course it will work, players will get scared of losing their account so they will do the events the legit way. -

Rather then being banned I'm thinking more disqualified from the event if caught farming event. Repeat offenders, those who might of been caught, let's say 3 times will be permanently banned from any future events that take place. -

I think giving them 3 chances is too kind and probably won't have much effect in reducing farmers. If anything, it should be one. -

I totally agree one chance and you out. But lets be honest its CF NA they are use to banning people on insult and flame rather then the cheaters in game that really deserve to get ban. Ever thought out thread I hope they listen. -
Totally agree with Abel.
Ha. I can feel your pain now lmao. You didn't get the rewards from September event, and now I didn't get from November. Wasted a whole month for absolutely nothing.
I'll never do events that have tasks for a whole month again. No matter what the prizes are. -

The life of a CF player: you complete events, get nothing. You do events, they add another requirements to it.
