My thunderbolt hammer randomly started doing 96 dmg with right click attack after the last patch. I asked players who I hit for 96 if they have body armor they said not. Was it nerfed without any notice?

I guess I shouldnt have asked on forum since there is not much players who own it.

I doubt many players in the first place own a perm one.

Keep in mind there's also temporary versions, (not sure if they removed the crates.)

I know that. They gave away some crates when king mode was released and every room had atleast one player with the hammer but now i rarely see anyone winning it or playing with it.
Edit: noticed that 96 dmg mostly happens when i hit someone in torso or the back. If baloon hammer does 100 dmg there why zp version of the same melee does less damage?

Here is cf wikia article. Yeah its faster and does more damage but these 96 damage hits are annoying.

I'd say grab a friend and test it out with accurate hits on a stationary target.

When I had the temporary version the only time I ever did 96 was when I hit torso on a person who had armor. I know you said you asked some of those people if they had armor and they said no...but people tend to lie about their armor since they don't want to be called an armor noop or in some cases not realize they got some days of armor from stuff like GM crates or events.

I did test it and it was 100 dmg on the whole body even with armor. I still dont know why I get 96 dmg hits.
I think its the same story as the awm. There is a little spot on the character which gives you 99 dmg if you hit it.
