FPS Lag

Very too often while playing the game the frame gets stuck for a split second and it causes too much trouble cuz it happens right at the worse times. I've tried bringing down the resolution from 1080p to 1024*768 and disabling all effects but this still occurs everytime I play this game. I dont encounter this thing with any other games. Do all of you face this thing too or is it just me?

It happens to me. Especially at the worst time like you said. It's like you take a screenshot or something.

The reason for this could be like mine: The CPU spikes irregularly high. The other reason is, that the CF Engine is ancient like Egypt (pun not intended). X'D

Temporary solution to CPU spikes: Go Task Manager (CTRL+SHIFT+ESC) and then below Process (tab), look for the most CPU hungry programs/services (that you don't really need), right click on them and End Process. This should disable them temporarily and give you more CPU room for better performance.

That wont do a thing. The game freezes on a PC capable to run BF1 and Battlefront on ultra on 2560 x 1080. CF should be like a NES game to that kind of PC yet the game still frozed on the worst moments.

Same here. I had those issues ever since I got myself a new PC, which was almost a year ago. I tried a lot of different stuff trying to fix it, but nothing helped.
Fortunately, these random FPS drops somehow stopped a month ago

Would you mind doing a little research on what changed in your PC in between this frame freeze occuring and stopping and telling us difference?

Same here. just close some programs that are running in the process. that worked for me. the problem was solved. good luck.

lol dont know if u r trolling or not but I got a gaming pc. I still get that freeze sometimes.

agree. Playing fifa17 and bf1 on highest resolution without any fps lags. But cf gives me horrible fps lags. From 230 to 1 lmao what a cheap game^^

Then there's nothing else to blame apart from the CF Engine it's self. We can only improve what we can during our CF play-time, the Task Manager trick seemed to work for me but as I said before, it's just a temporary little boost.
