Here's my opportunity to advertise the competitive scene
You guys should really switch over to comp, most of you have said but you want to use your vips. Sure you can always go pub whenever you want. But honestly why not? You could be playing for actual $$$ or ZP prizes. Also if you feel like you're not good enough nobody starts off good. But really you guys should consider it, it's really fun. -

Competitive is completely one sided. If you're not from America you can get out!
Need some real action for the UK scene. I wouldn't mind attending a LAN. -

Actually this'll be the 2nd year in a row where we have online CFS qualifiers. There should be more lans I agree, and I believe the GM's are working on this with Kyle. Nevertheless the UK server comp scene is very active. UK 5 CH 8 has scrims going on regardless of whatever time it is. -
I don't play the actual game and haven't done so in a while. I have friends who post on the forum from time to time so I check it, am I not allowed to?If the situation of this game is really getting worse then what are you doing here?
If this game is nothing as compared to those so called "great" games then why are you still playing this game?

I have a Discord full of Crossfire players, about 100+. When we first made it, it was super active and we all played together. Now most of them play league, overwatch, csgo or just don't play anything at all. There are only 3 people on that Discord I can name off the top of my head that actively play.IIRC, this game has become much better over these past years. No more hackers,No more Glitching (reduced drastically), improved graphics and less buggy. I saw many old players coming back to this game in this year. I don't know where did you get the info that CF is losing its playerbase when the actual facts are other way around.
I don't like Egy players but I have to admit the fact that handsome amount of egys are spending high amount of cash on this game.
I don't know where you're getting your "facts" but have you actually played within the last year?
I don't know how you could possibly say it's "less buggy" and gaining new players.
Ever since CF 2.0, the gameplay has been poor with freezing and fps drops for most people regardless of their setup.
NA servers had barely 3-4 channels(not even half a server) filled when I last logged on. SnD and Ghost Mode games are rampant with hackers who know they won't get kicked. Some of them are alts of well known players who do it to "troll".
UK servers are the only ones that are flourishing, and that's obviously because of the egyptian playerbase. -
Ultimately, I don't care all that much if a VIP is in the EP shop as a temporary. Would rather not see it show up as a permanent in there though UNLESS the price is made really really...REALLY...high. Also think they could probably nearly double the price of the temporary VIPs in the EP shop as well. (this is assuming the VIP that's in there will get switched out for other VIPs in the future instead of being removed). As stated many of the nabs that get these items just throw it at your feet for you ZP or other VIP weapon so it really doesn't change much except you get a little more EXP in the end. Sure some okay-ish players will do better for awhile. And can't really blame them for putting it in there either. Theoretically it is a good marketing attempt....but actual vs theory is another story. If you're going to stop buying ZP/VIPs/whatever because of that...but not because of the lack of bug fixing, new maps for modes that could really use them, the horrible servers and their crappy tick rate, or any other more serious issue...then you've got problems.
As far as 'giving out other free things'...
-Pretty much everything in the attendance related/Special Mission doesn't bother me. Sure they can get those gold weapons temporarily which reduces the awesomeness of Slaughter Tickets a little. But only 1 out of thousands of player will get it for more than 3 days. And between the Gold Box from Attendance and the Box from Special Mission they aren't getting it often. The most annoying aspect from these two is everyone grabbing the TMP on their primary ticket. And honestly...I feel as if that's gone down a little.
-Free Crates from events. Honestly don't care about that at all. Sure it's annoying to drop $80+ and win a seasonal crate and then boom there's an event that rewards some of those seasonal crates to anyone who completes it and then watch as a flood of random nabs win the weapon you just paid to try to win. And maybe it'd be smarter knowing that those events are likely to happen every update with generally the newer crates....one would hold off on buying the crates. And even if you didn't win when spending...now you yourself have another chance at winning that weapon. And honestly...if you don't like this aspect....please stop doing events. Not like every nab, 'pro', and spender isn't doing the quick Start and Leave to farm events like this Suppression one and many others in the past for some quick crates/EP. If you're mad about that...push them to make that kind of farming illegal/non-rewarding...just don't QQ that you can't finish the events then because you don't want to spend your time in whatever mode involved.
-Daily Mission Xmas issue. This was an issue to a degree with me...mainly because Xmas crates are suppose to be seasonal and it went long after the season period for xmas crates. Besides the fact that the DM needs a major update/reform to it anyways. But honestly it should be EXP relative to rank, GM Crates or similar, and EP on weekends for the DM.
Also...for the person that says the game is reviving....were you around to see the Servers activity before the last couple years? NA servers used to have at least 2 full Servers filled DURING school hours, sometimes 3 or even 4 on prime hours like the UK still does occasionally. Now we can't even fill 1 server and are lucky to fill 3 channels during prime non-school hours. So just RIP there. the NA aspect is dead and the UK has been fluctuating. It's doubtful they'll pull back that many NA players without some SERIOUS reforming/changes and even then it'll never be as alive as it used to be. I might add that those changes/reforms aren't changing how they handle their event rewards but more along the lines of fixing large amounts of bugs, updating maps and models to use higher res textures, creating large amounts of new maps, and finding a way to re-introduce a good competitive pub side of the game...which will involve reducing the interference/interaction between low ping players and high ping players.
Crossfire is getting old and was outdated in many terms even when it began...that makes a lot of people lose interest fast if not instantly. This is part of the reason why CF 2 is being developed is to draw in that crowd back into the CF world. -

If you think about it, CF itself is an outdated game that's only going to go downhill no matter what they do. Especially given the competition they face with CS:GO, eague of Legends, and Overwatch who have stolen a majority of CF's playerbase.
Like you said, let's say they're going to have to choose between an NA/UK player with a lot of money, or 100 Egys with barely any money.
Catering to the egys would be a safer bet because their computers are often too bad to run the other games so they will probably stick around for a long time.
NA and UK players who have a lot of money can easily dish out a couple of dollars on a better game instead of buying a VIP on a game where they have no English speakers to play against.
It's basically their way of making a dead game appear to be not dead.
I stopped buying ZP and preorder VIPs because of this problem. 150.00 in ZP a month on top of buying vips. The servers are so dead now. With the FP mall and now vip sniper in the new shop. Why buy this stuff anymore. I've mostly play Overwatch now and will spend my money on this game now. Only two rooms maybe a day in NA. TO bad. CF use to be awesome, But now, to many free weapons in fp mall so why buy or spin grates? Oh well. was fun while it lasted. -

My response is not directed to any single one but It all comes down to some of us have somehow got this sense of entitlement that goes to their thinking which turn their views sour when others are allowed to get any kind of enjoyment without paying X amount before hand to "unlock" that entertaiment.
Each and every weapons in this game can just be considered an asset to company who owns the game and it is entirely in their right to give out an asset be it for a temporary amount of time or permanent to its customers to improve satisfaction and further time investment into the game. In the end, it's their games, and they are free to do whatever they want with it. -

Sure it's marketing technique. But it's a poor one, because the people they are marketing to, can't afford VIPs in the first place. To me it just looks like desperation. They will dig theirselves a bigger and bigger hole, because people will expect more and more now. -

which is available for JUST 3 days. It's not permanent.This is what I was gonna say. If it's JUST an AWM VIP, why not make it free? It's still a VIP that people paid for and now it's being given out for EP which is easy to obtain if you farm it. -

yeah, its possible. BTW Z8 shouldn't put any VIP gun in the shop in the first place. If they really wanted to add a VIP gun in the shop then they should had to put it in the "VIP exclusive items" section.Or they just save it up and buy it later. -

"VIP Exclusive Items" tab are for items which only VVIP players can purchase. However, thinking about it, that's kinda pointless right now because anyone can spend 2,300 EP on AWM Infernal Dragon VVIP then purchase the VIP Exclusive Items which, doesn't make them that exclusive.
As for the AWM VVIP in the EP mall.. Doesn't bother me that much because it's not really an "OP" VVIP weapon. I know some Black Market AWM's that has a faster bolt cycle or even the same as AWM VVIP. If it was Barrett's and M4A1's then I would be annoyed. -

Not just this event though, i have like 30-40k EP in my Shop and i have done pretty much nothing, just a couple of easy events. -

I also do personally believe that the price should be increased slightly. Maybe 4000 EP for 3 days.. But that is my opinion. -
I never saw that much sick people on any forum before. It's a "3" day VIP gun with the least perks. First of all, there shouldn't be a VIP system at all as it completely ruined the ranking system. Too many farmers became marshal within a week because of this VIP system.
No one asked you to buy anything in this game. It was your choice in the first place You are not a investor,you are just a gamer. If you want to invest in Z8 then go and buy their shares. That way you may be able to exert some influence. BTW it's not like they are giving your VIP gun out of your storage to them.
Another thing is that EP is for "EVERYONE" ,yes it's for "EVERYBODY". They are not giving EP to non ZP/VIP Players only. You can earn it too. It's their choice to get 3 day VIP gun over the crates. Its "not" a permanent gun they "earned". You can buy the crates too.
There's always a thing for you guys to mourn over. First it was DM crates, then attendance rewards and kick voting voting system, and now it's about Event points. They removed those xmas crates "earned" through completion of DM. Now nobody wants to do DM for 500 GP because they can earn lot more than 500 GP in a single S&D game. There were some people who were literally crying over those DM Xmas crates (I will not write their names) as if it were only available for those Non ZP spenders.
Crossfire Stuff removed the KVS but there are still some people who is crying over blocking/insults.I saw many low rank players having ZP weapons but their score was still terrible. It's not like Awm ID will change their skills anyway. They are still noob.
Lastly,It seems like problem is not with the crossfire devs but its with the mentality of some people who thinks that buying few or all VIP guns/characters has given them the right to manipulate this game and it's events. You don't have to blame the game but to your selfishness. Even though they earned that 3 day VIP gun they still sit in front of me to beg for my weapons.

From the general consensus it seems that most of the people with VIPs are upset that they paid for something and now it's being given out for free... Are you all broke AF? It was literally only £50. You paid for a permanent gun, they're only getting a limited temporary one. At the end of the day the M700 is way better anyway.
