Good Samaritan Ribbon
Attention, Mercenaries!
By now you have all noticed that there is a new ribbon grayed out on your profile pages: The Good Samaritan Ribbon!
Many of you have been asking how to get it, and I'm here to give you a basic run down of what its all about, how to get it, what will NOT get you it, and how to lose it. Yes, you can lose it.
What Is it?: The Good Samaritan Ribbon is given out to players chosen by the GM Team for being helpful, active, polite, and generally 'nice'.
How To Get It: It really isn't that hard. This ribbon will be given out manually to players that we have noticed have been active and helpful members of the community. What this means, is that only people who are always helping others, who are answering questions, will get the ribbon. This doesn't mean, however, that answering a few player questions will be enough. This ribbon will only be handed out to those who do this often. The first part of being active and helpful is actually being ACTIVE. If you pop in now and then to be a nice person, thats not gonna cut it. You have to show that you're really making an effort to make this place a bit better.
How Not To Get It: Asking for this ribbon is an easy way to make sure you do NOT get it. It will not be given out when people request it. Also, if you're answering questions but being sarcastic about it, you won't get the ribbon. If you are insulting people, or spamming, or any other violation, you're probably not going to get it. (Note: This does not mean that being a jerk in the past means you have no chance of getting it. This just means you have to work a bit harder to prove you've changed and deserve it.)
How To Lose It: Yes, you can lose this ribbon. It is the same way you got the ribbon, only the opposite. If you are insulting people, if you have gotten yourself a bunch of infractions, if you are spamming, if you break forum rules, or if you are being unruly in some other way, we will remove the ribbon. It will go away. And it will likely not find its way back to you. There will also be no arguing this, so if you have it, do your best to hold onto it.
Be nice to each other, help each other out, stand out in a GOOD way, and you might find yourself with a shiny new ribbon. You were a noob once, too, don't forget!

First, can I get the ribbon? xD
Seriously though, this is a brilliant idea to promote a more positive community. Maybe figure out a way to add a badge onto people's forum profiles too? So people who don't frequent the forums often and know who the helpful players are can see who to trust and who will give them genuine help. -
I like the idea and all but I have a question.
I was planning to get this ribbon on my alt account too since I'm collecting ribbons on both account. (7 more for 50 on alt) and I was wondering:
It requires you to be active to get the ribbon, but once you have it, and go inactive. How long will it take before you lose the ribbon? Can I just be less active or I would have to stay as much active and helpful as to when I was trying to get it? -

It's a good Question, But think can be answered easily based on the following comment[GM]Kanadian wrote: »How To Lose It: Yes, you can lose this ribbon. From the above quote I can see 5 Conditions which would cause the GM to manually look up your profile and remove ribbon
1.Spamming
2.Insulting
3.Infractions
4.Break Any Forum Rules
5.Unruly (disorderly and disruptive and not amenable to discipline or control.)
Seems a lot of the hard work is getting it in the first place, as it based on the GM manual pick most helpful people, so this is a lot of work for us players and the GM, but good way to get more people active on the forums with reward. -

Yeah I know those can make you lose the ribbon but my question was about inactivity.
For example, you have the ribbon, but then go inactive for about a week due to personal problems or whatever reasons. Will you lose it? And also, can you regain the ribbon if it was lost due to inactivity and not breaking the forum rules? -
Should've checked 2nd page first, now I gotta double post ):David080501 wrote: »i don't give no fuuck about this stupid ribbon since cf is the one that is making this game terrible by only giving out 10 crates per event how many percent is in 10 crates 1? or 000000.1? lol wtf **** this i don't care go head and suck on this
No one is forcing you to do the events if you're unhappy with the rewards that come with it. -
that's will be nice specially that's will reduce racism , insulting and spam posts ,, but i just suggest to put a plane to how will it work .. like if some one lose it and he want to catch it again he will w8 for unknown time to get it again .. and if one will haven't it yet the same situation .. so i suggest to make a basic time to refresh updates like every month every week something like that

Not to sound rude but I still don't get the point of this ribbon. Majority of the player base are Egys like they will stop swearing and cursing at you plus vote to kick you every minute. If they can follow the simple rule of "don't ask for codes" on Stream good luck making them "better players". I know I shouldn't even be logging in the UK servers and should focus in NA where my ping is below 35 but when there are events hardly anyone makes rooms in NA that's how dead it is becoming so if my clan mate Zyko isn't on I have to result to going to UK where takes me forever to finish one task because I get kicked by Moes and Ahmeds left and right. If you can't make improvements to the kick system why not lower to times of kicking someone twice per game to one, or maybe one kick per "x" amount of time. As much as I like to see new ribbons there are other problems that should be focused on more.

Exactly. I posted here on the forum how frustrating it is to get killed behind the walls every time, and the thread got closed right away. Yet they make a Ribbon to be nice, what a joke.
