Post the updates on the big banners on the crossfire homepage, needs to be eye catching.
Yeah you're missing CFCL Pro UK Week 1 and 2. As well as CFCL Pro NA week 2.
Here's an idea, split it into 2 sections: CFCL NA and CFCL UK, then 2 more sections for each, Pro and Open. Then make it so that you can choose the month and Week 1/2 or finals, and have results like brackets, and standings etc.
The Carbon CFS Banners are from last year, maybe we should have more up2date ones from CFCL, this is debateable Idk. I feel like players need to know what's going on right now, not last year or every year. Although this is debatable and many other things can be done.
There should be more activity on forums but I know for a fact that you shouldn't rely on the forums and that some people would refuse to go on them
" the customer is always right "
I pretty much agree with all of this as well, we're happy with the improvements and we think cf can get a lot bigger, that's why we're giving our criticism to try and improve things even further.
Like, why would sponsors wanna get involved if the game isn't bringing visitors to their websites and partners etc? CFCL needs to be everywhere and bring more people to the game as well, you're already making money off of armour, most teams buy it to practise in scrims. Of course there are exceptions for the National final teams but that's 1 team per version. Every 'pro' team should have more coverage.
let me know what you think -
If only carbon and wolves have sponsors i think wolves second best team in crossfire
Wolves Esports
Penta Sports
Playing Ducks
Flipsid3 Tactics
3sUP Carbon
ANIXIA Esports
All have sponsors actually.
Also thanks for the feedback guys, nice to see some positive ideas. -

Debatable. It is all about what do you mean by being " sponsored " , there is no professional team ( team that can live with a salary given by a organization ) in EU , UK , NA , and teams that receive money , all of them receive small amounts. It is all about bringing some more lan events in UK / NA , and more prize pool , otherwise " sponsorship " wont ever be serious xD. Crossfire can make big money , but they need to invest first, and in a long term they will make profit , but they want profit in short time maybe, idk.
Now about the ideas given , yes , they are great , but without more support than we have and more serious tournaments ( FLIPSID3 even forfeited last cup like it was nothing , because the prize was low lol ) , nothing will happen Atleast crossfire took one step further, even tho prize pool is stiil small
I Believe that team Cursive and dot1q are also sponsored ... ? -

Yes , the league is called " PRO ", but its only a name. Crossfire, in both UK/NA and EU, its behind the other fps because of its lack of professionality, therefore, images or website work won't do anything special, we need major changes, not minor changes like that. Yes its a step further, but we need a bigger step, since 20XX we have been doing small steps , I think its time for a bigger one. -

Foundations are important. You should probably provide examples. They can refer to this thread whenever they want the communities feedback. I have an idea, make a stickied thread for that purpose on the CFCL section? Like 'Community Feedback/Suggestions' or something. -

I know interviews won't happen until teams start behaving themselves more often. The thing with interviews is that whoever is being interviewed would have to not curse, not be toxic or rude, and promote professionalism. Just looking at the drama that ensued last weekend shows the community as a whole isn't quite ready, though I do feel all teams are moving towards being more professional.
The Carbon banners do need to come down and they need to make them CFCL Banners. I'd get the graphic made if they banner sizes were released. I care about the game enough to try to help it grow. Smilegate also needs to partner with a NA/EU media company to try to promote the game that way. Get new blood in. Promote the weekly events. Keep weekly tournaments. Even after season 1 of CFCL ends, they need to keep some form of weekly/monthly tournament rolling. Keep the competitive scene alive. Don't let January-June be completely dead for scrims, with only 5-6 teams playing.
Revamp the entire Competitive section. They need to link the direct Competitive forum link under the E-Sports section. Update the E-Sports news WEEKLY. Hell, I'll write the articles summarizing the entirety of events for them, and they can just post them!!
Promote the living hell out of "The Crossfire show in Jeju". This was a great idea, that I'm thinking is going to fall short outside of Vietnam, Korea, Phillipines, Brazil, and China. Sending people from the current national champions on a vacation together, and from what the commercials seem to imply, make it sort of like Survivor, the TV show? That's awesome. I'd actually watch i as long as there is subtitles in english.
We should definitely upload demo's from the pro matches so teams can study each others habits. Currently, you can only save a replay if you're in the game, so if the GM or whoever is watching the match during pro games, were to save and upload the matches under each team's name, it would allow people to read the opposing teams better and overall increase the professional scene. You hear of IGL's in games like CS and CoD watching demos of the other teams all the time. We've never really had the luxury. And don't say scrims give us the proper experience, because the majority of teams play quite a bit different during match days than they do during scrims. This is sorta controversial, but at the same time, a good IGL can read a team without the demos, but the demo's allow you to see peoples mistakes the make consistently, as well as let their own IGL see them and attempt to fix it.
Definitely get someone to piece together the great bits of streams. There is almost always an insane clutch, a 3k, 4k, or an ACE per day. I know when I cast the UK streams, they pull of some crazyyyy shots. You get to hear Kyle go nuts, and me way over praise people for these things..
We as a community also need to start policing ourselves better in general. Ostracize the extremely toxic people. Shun the people who've been proven to cheat. Share posts when others are streaming. If we want the scene to grow to a point were we can make decent money off the game, we gotta do it ourselves. We stopped trying completely back in 2009-2012 when we lost the greatest window to explode this game, during the time 1.6 replace Source as the primary competitive game, and before CSGO came out. Had the GM's of old pushed more competitive stuff, the scene itself wouldn't be in the complete shambles it is today.
Finally, when it comes to CFS, whether its Manila, MSI, or the World Championships, we need good English casters. Not the garbage at the World finals we've had for the past couple years. Nobody ever listens to them. They get muted and viewing parties just kind of talk and compare notes. We have no equivalent to a Anders and Semmlar, no Thorin Oakenshield. You need to send Zzxq and Gecks, or Myself and Zzxq to do it. Or hire the CSGO casters, have them learn about the game from the english speaking teams, and understand the sort of Meta game for it. When people who have no idea about Crossfire, and see the world championships raking in a couple thousand views, check it out, and hear the nonsense these casters say, it turns them away because the quality is literally garbage. I know the MSI guys were god awful, and the world championships were a bit better, but still terrible. I know its not our GM's fault for that nonsense, but you should really try to get decent quality casters out there. Ostracizing the entirety of the English Speaking potential community is literally the worst Business Decision an ESports can make.
Just to be clear, I do not blame the current GM administration for the faults of the past, but rather look hopeful as they seem to actually care now. Before, it was just thrown at us to handle it all ourselves, with almost no outside influence. Now we have an Open/Pro league (Should've happened years ago), and multiple events throughout the year (CFS MSI, MANILA, WORLDS, More???). If we can have 4 Super Majors a year, and like 3-4 Smaller stuff, we'd be great. I personally would like to see our Version Lead a CF West cup, with NA, UK, EU, ES, and BR. That, would be a great event, and be quite fun. Maybe invite the current top Chinese team for an Exhibition match vs the winner.
Much love and respect- Thornzberry. -

Jealous of what? if I come back and join Xiao we can destroy the open league easily. You have the win under your signature like its an accomplishment when you had one person single handily carry you. Anyways my point is why do you want a 4th,5th and 6th place when there is only like 6 teams signing up? win and earn the prize. Practice makes perfect especially if you keep playing legitimate whether its off client or not.
