Crossfire Punishments?

Hey guys, quick question for you all. I have been playing CF since 09 and was wondering if the rules changed or not.
I was aware that hacking or using any third-party tool can get you banned. Usually, the ban was temporary, like a week, and if it was a second, the ban exceeded to a month or perm.

I was also aware that if you were to hack enough, they would trace your IP and ban you forever.

These rules still exist right? No change?

Or is the new rule: Trace IP, ban you forever, no warnings whatsoever.

There hasn't been much change, the temp bans were only given by Xtrap (game guard too, theoretically) and after a few, it's a perm ban, direct perm bans are given by GMs when the player is reported.
