Tournament thing

I'm sure that everyone remembers when we hosted SGL with my old mates and for the last time when I totally messed it up. But the summer is here, school is almost over and I was thinking of a new one. I've learned from my mistakes and won't do the same things again. I could make it on any day but I think people would prefer Friday. So I'm asking the community if they want SGL -or whatever it will be called- back or not. Please type down your opinion whether it's positive or negative and we'll decide. Thank you.

EDIT: It is going to be completely the same as the egl now, the only thing that is different that NA and UK teams will be also able to play on it.The knife round will decide the server thing.

EDIT: Ramil is going to help me out, we'll use BlackBox so you don't have to worry about the cheaters

Btw I wanted to make it on Friday but Ramil can't be online then and without him we can't use the Blackbox. Sorry guys.

IMO i think you should host the uk SGL or whatever you will call it on saturday, because im pretty sure uk players do not want to play the na tournament on saturday. Then you can hose the na sgl (if there is one) on sunday.

Why should I host it on sunday if there is EGL UK?:D That's why I'm thinking of a different day.
And also, I want to give chance to NA teams to play on it so Saturday is not good either.

People could practise more on competitions so there will be more opportunities to show yourself or something. You play on the weekend once or twice, then you gotta wwait till next week to play something serious.

I can help u out and host this for u like EGL summer or something. Because you can still play the cup cuz i know u like to play so feel free to PM me. If u like my idea i need atleast +8 teams. If it wont work than i wont host.

Ah its really nice from you and I really appreciate it. You could help me host it if you want, that would be really nice, but the other thing.. I don't want to lose the trust of the ppl so I don't think I'll play on it.

+1 should be a good idea to host it in the weekdays so people can play this and then egl or w/e in the weekends

I don't want to take the NA teams chance away to play on my cup. If they come and a UK team plays against an NA one, 1 half on NA and 1 on UK servers.

or which one would be the better idea? To not let NA teams play?

wow just came back to myself, gonna make a rule like:
NA team vs UK team -> 2 knife rounds. First round is for the server, second is for the side.The team that wins the first round chooses the server for both halfs.

Make it on a week day at a reasonable time and allow NA + UK, we don't currently have a tournament where UK can play against NA and it's fair that we'd play 1 half NA, 1 half UK. That's just my opinion.

alright, I'll think about it and after this weekends egls im going to announce my cup, I hope I get enough teams to run it.

Actually it's good specially for the people who cannot play expect on UK, so the used to play once a week, now they can play twice I guess will be good.

Not like I'd be playing in this anyways, but a tournament that starts at 2pm EST during the week is absurd. The people who work or those in school (summer semester or whatnot) will be unable to play.

As you can tell the tournament is more bias towards the UK side.

I wanted to make it on friday at the same time, but Ramil can't make that. The weekend is full of tournaments so that time is not good either. If I make it later on wednesday for the american people, then UK people won't be able to play it. 19:00 is almost late anyways, 20 or 21 starting would make the finals to 1 or 2 AM which can't be made.
