WCGS Future tourney ideas!

The community seems like it wants WCGS to be Weekly and what not...

here is what i thought of....
WCGS league will still happen Monthly (with a cash prize)
but
we will also host WCGS mini-leagues and the winner of the mini league
will get a free win/pass in the bracket system for the WCGS main league

the main issue with hosting WCGS every week is if i attempt to split the prize pool
between the leagues.. it would only be like $10 for first place which is eh..

i only have enough paypal money from selling my csgo inventory and it will only last around 5-6 more beta leagues
which isnt a whole lot ik
but im just trying to keep beta leagues cost efficient i hope you all understand!

i just thought about this so it may sound stupid but thought id throw it out there for you all

3 weekly leagues + monthly finals. You could charge a small entry fee for the weekly leagues(like 5/10$ per team) and the 1st and 2nd place qualify to the monthly finals(with a prize pool)

not a bad idea but idk if teams want to fork out $15 for 3 weeks of leagues in hopes of getting into finals

It's nice what you're doing, i've done it my self except without providing my own prize pool. The conclusion I came to is that I should let Z8games, a company, handle their own game (after running 13 BGL events over 4-5 months - with no improvement) They've made promises... now let's just see what they'll give their players.

Its really nice that you want to keep this community and the competitive part alive, but isn't it bad for you that you're taking your own money into a game to pay for the winner teams?

But will the NA date be switched by any chance?

have like an open weekly cup without prizes for three weeks, then 8 teams with the highest points will move on to montlies. (like what esl did) or you could merge it with egl, but i think teams want to compete on more cups.

I doubt it since the only reason NA is on Sunday so it doesn't interfere with egl na on Saturday.
