Cross Fire NA, Europe and UK players

For the love of god, please GMS, reply to this and give a reasonable answer. The UK has never been able to play with the rest of the European continent, compete in proper competitions or play qualifiers for international events such as CFS. We are a country in Europe, and the only reason we weren't granted entry to Cross Fire Europe was because Z8games (another version) owns the UK license. Now, from the 14th of May onwards, Z8games will own ALL OF THE LICENSES in Europe.

http://forum.z8games.com/showthread.php?314699-Smilegate-West-is-becoming-the-publisher-of-CF-Europe-on-14th-of-May/page2 - [GM] comment at bottom...

According to [GM]Grumpy

"At this moment, there are no plans to merge any of the games. CFEU will operate separately exactly the same way it is operating right now with no changes except for ownership!"

Do you know how long some players have waited for 1 version to own all licenses and reunite the UK with the rest of Europe? Do you know how many players have quit due to this? Now that you have the power to do it, and ABSOLUTELY no reason to not remove the UK from forbidden countries on CF EU, I'll be another ex-player in the close future if something isn't done.

Do you plan on trapping UK players to these servers for another 5 years? What's the point of having separate competition in the UK servers (WHICH ARE IN GERMANY) and the CF EU servers (which are in the Netherlands) ? ? ? Let's be honest, you're not actually going to host 3 CFS tournaments are you, you're going to host 1 for NA and 1 for EU, leaving the UK servers out as usual. Please learn your CF history and learn from the past! So many things to talk about, let's discuss shall we...

The whole CF UK and EU community back this, unite Europe, keep your UK servers for revenue but allow UK players access to CF EU, problem solved, no need to waste time having competition in your EU server on the NA version and your EU servers on your EU version!

I'm sorry Z8 but this has to be said, listen to the community.

I made a poll everyone:

http://goo.gl/yEBrRg (guys, you are able to pick multiple options on this list! the 2nd and 3rd question are to see what people in the community would prefer)

Also, after you vote you can click 'next' a couple times to see the geography of who is voting from where, I hope to see Europe full up from all countries :D

for UK player its like impossible to play on NA server... and the most player dont want to begin with CF EU because they dont have an account!

Yes, you seem to understand the problem but there's more to it than that. Players in the United Kingdom have NO CHOICE, we are not allowed on Cross Fire Europe due to separate publishers, but next month Z8games will be the single publisher that owns all the licenses. With that they can make a change and fix the problem made in the past.

The only reason you are playing the uk version is because you got banned on esl for cheating so just stay out of it

This is true tho, like 2 months ago when na was dead (slowly rising tho) there were so many uk teams that were still playing egl even though they had no prizes and i would say there was only few active NA teams. Alot of the uk teams are determined and committed to play in CFS but we never had the chance. Why are NA teams only allowed to play CFS and how comes the UK teams are neglected. "Crossfire NA/UK" and yet the uk are still alienated
  • Do you honestly believe any of the UK Players even stand a chance in China? Not even, that's called wasting money. Stick to esl and let us NA players handle cfs and wca.

Let me explain something to you. Excluding the UK from Europe is like excluding 10 states from the USA to play on CF NA and putting them on a version without any support in terms of competitive. This isn't about how good UK players are, this about having a choice to play the EU version now that there's no reason for us not to. I don't think you will see reason and you'll probably keep on hating. Which ever course of action Z8games take, Europe needs to be UNITED and it doesn't matter if we're playing all together in EU, UK or if everyone just makes up their own mind. However, CFS is hosted in EU and that's another unfair reason to be stuck in UK with no choice.

    Good post :)
UK teams/players should defo be able to play in CF EU now that Z8 owns all the licenses. It would give them the chance to enter CFS qualifiers etc. and this may even attract new UK players to play CF as well as old UK players to come back.

EDIT: @Creative Swear down UK players are not even allowed to play ESL.

    Bruhhhhh

This seems logical, the only reason why the UK people werent allowed in EU was because of the license issues, now that smilegate(who owns the Uk license) buying out gamerage(who owns rest of the EU licenses) should technially means that smilgate owning all the licenses, for both EU and UK. Meaning it should be about time that Uk+NA players being able to play on both servers
Would be nice to see what the GMs say as to why UK players wont be able to still play on EU servers after May 14th, as most of the old issues(license) should be solved after this really...
  • As someone who is able to play both versions I totally agree on that. Especially if you think about the fact that even non european players (such as egyptians for example) are allowed to play cf eu.
  • Uk players should be allowed to play on Crossfire EU to qualify for the CFS Tournaments. They should be allowed to play go4s and the license problems should be solved as soon as possible.
I know the situation as an ESL admin for the crossire EU section pretty well and I am sure that we could host - together with z8 games/smilegate west - a lot of tournaments with the uk players next to our side. Moving the competitive scene to EU would be a big step, because including the UK part of crossfire NA is a bit harder than just including them into our version. I am sure that UK teams are able to learn from our playstyle ; not saying that UK teams aren´t good at all - they just need to face better teams than their own ones. You are unable to get better, if you do not get destroyed.
I am pretty sure that we could fill a bracket with 64 teams, if Uk players get the chance to compete with us.
Prize money is another point, but since CFS got announced, teams will try their best to get to the top with some hope in the bag to reach the CFS qualifiers aswell. A combined competitive scene is one of the few steps to make the game big, again.
    Lets hope for the best!

  • its like the gm's bear a grudge against the uk folks :$

i've been in a team on cf na with uk people for a long time now, would love to compete as this game has to grow competition wise in the eu.

its a win win really, plus ill take that cfs cup with me for this version this summer :x

  • Yeah, let UK play Crossfire Europe. It doesent make sense for them to play CFS Qualifiers in NA with 150+ ping
  • Delete Crossfire Europe and move it here. Nobody plays EU anyways. They play the cups, that's about it. Never see them practice or pub.

lmao, because theres nothing atm to practise. Theres no Go4, no prices at all and thats it.
If theres something to win or to qualifier, there are around 30+ teams which are practising ^^

Meanwhile, all the teams in China play all day long. Teams won't get better by only playing when there is a cup to play.

I dont think so, since CS is getting bigger in China, more and more players are leaving CF there.
PENTA also played pretty close against the chinese team and the other versions also become better and better
  • Accuracy is all about doing stuff over and over again without quitting. It's pretty obvious you lose accuracy if you don't play for weeks when there isn't anything to play. If anything, CF is all about accuracy. I mean, if you know where the head is and almost always hit that spot CF is not that hard anymore. + you learn to do it quicker and work on your reflexes. Look at the cs go teams. The amount of practice they put down into that game is crazy :s Unless you cheat, then accuracy is nothing to worry about. (Not saying anyone is cheating)
  • +1 Let the UK players compete in CFS for EU.
  • +1 would be great to see UK teams/players participating in ESL more.
  • +1 i agree with this post, crossfire has been out like 8 years, or some ****, im from the uk and because off where i live im told that i cant play competive crossfire with others, this makes seance, this is kinda racist to the UK players, may seem exstream now z8 have control of cf eu they have the chance to give uss cfs wca or w/e i just want to be able to compete, thats all , most in our server dont care about money ect they just wana play vs the best and improve as a team. anways i realy hope people vote uss thanks Geordie

uhm......uk players will be able to play for cfs hence uk is in europe unless something fishy will happen
  • I would to see some officially tournaments for the UK players. It will definitely bring more UK players back to CrossFire.
  • Please read the thread before you comment :) Of course the UK should be able to compete in CFS and CF EU because we are in Europe. The ONLY reason that we have not been able to get involved, is because Z8games have owned our license and another version owned the other licenses. In 1 months time, Z8games will be the publisher of both versions and will hold all of the licenses. Now they can do something about it. Yes there will be lans in Europe, but don't mistake the Cross Fire Europe Competitive Scene with the UK servers please, Europe placed 2nd in CFS last year and that's why they're getting more attention now. If something is not done by Z8games, we will never be able to get involved in all of this excitement that we've been left out of since 2011 (and I won't stick around, neither will my team) I've made threads similar to this over the years... But the huge difference now is that they own the licenses and can make the simple choice, there's no excuse now. And yes like some people have suggested, it does sometimes feel like we're discriminated against. A GM has already closed my other thread on the barracks due to them seeing my thread here and noticing that it's a duplicate - so they have noticed our movement.
