Anti-Cheat Recommendations and Discussion Thread
I want to make this the official anti-cheat Recommendation and Discussion thread.
So If you want me to check out any companies/organizations about an anti-cheat software for EGL please post below.
Also if you have comments on ACP please post below.
Also as a side note Black Box Anticheat never contacted me after I tried to get a hold of them

What was wrong with bandicam, except the fact that some people had slow upload speeds. You're probably going to say they can trigger but wouldn't it be obvious if they lock on to their head? -

Bandicam is a big nono too many people get away an anticheat is better. -

- nothing lol
Negativ=
- you can use wall // aim // trigger and what ever you want.. its not hard
the clips are in bad quali so you cant identify anything
- some players cant use it because s**t computer ^^
Moss -->
positiv=
- better then bandicam, but you can still bypass it
- you can see all process clearly and you cant fake the files!
negative=
- you still can use trigger or aim
- and a lot of people know how to bypass it
ACP-->
positiv=
- noone can see the files and change them (but if the admins are dump they dont identify cheater ^^)
- screens are watermark prooft
- ACP workling "like" ESL wire but in a smart version it only bann "casual" cheats and hacks

- buggy a** fu**
my opinion stay on ACP

I think we can switch back to bandicam, and to fix the abuse problem we can have people upload one half or 5 rounds or so. that way it wouldn't take an hour to upload and some people are actually willing to watch a 10 minute clip instead of 30 (meaning if they were to cheat, they would most likely get caught... by the community)

The only flaw when EGL used to use Bandicam is they allowed streaming. OBS doesn't capture ESP hacks and you can use OBS just to record then upload that without even having to live stream it.
Never trust players to upload videos on Youtube to prove their legitimacy they can be walling. -

FCK Bandicam. Bandicam causes player to play worse because of fps problems, takes forever to upload and isn't even a fcking anticheat. Stop complaining about ACP. Don't see anything wrong with it so far. Michael is trying to get contact with another anticheat company already. So just stop complaining about everything.

All anticheats can be bypassed... i think Moss and ACP are the best atm!
i would stay on ACP.... because a lot of people are afraid of it because they dont know what it do :P
dont go to bandicam ! xD its the baddest "anticheat" ever! you would loose players and a lot of time in the CUPS. -

The fact is that many teams or players didn't get busted the first time they cheated with the ACP. There are programs which you can use with the ACP on and no one catches you instantly. In my opinion That's what admins should fix with a better anti-cheat program -

I was referring more towards the end of your post about uploading. Yeah, people can simply record with OBS instead of livestreaming, but if they don't upload then they're getting DQ'd
However I'm interested to know where you heard this from, because I'm pretty confident that's not true -
You guys are acting like there has to be one way to verify innocence. I've expressed my opinion on this already. If you can situate using bandicam then use it. If you situate better using acp then use it. The level of extremism you guys are undertaking here is way too much. I would only think that the goal here is to get as many people playing not getting everyone on one framework. There's a thing called experimentation guys.

The main problem I have with ACP is the fact that one of our players was unable to participate in EGL because ACP wasn't being downloaded correctly. The admins of the tourney wouldn't even let us pick up another ringer for something that totally wasn't our fault (or theirs.) We were automatically put at a disadvantage because of a poorly ran tournament, with poor admins in a crappy game. But GG to the competitive scene.

You have a ringer for a reason. Also the issue wasn't with ACP (as I've found out). You need net framework 4.0 or 4.5 to run ACP. If you recently updated to 4.6 then it won't work. Also your antivirus might get in the way. Try those things out before blaming others.

Don't wanna pay for the licensing especially since it would need constant attention. Not worth the time, on top of that I'd probably have to test it ridiculous amount of times to make sure it doesn't have bugs. Don't want to start from scratch -
