Competitive Team List?
Hey guys, I was reading through the recent thread http://forum.z8games.com/showthread.php?t=296047, and I found their team ranking idea (https://playugn.com/forums/official_na_competitive_clans_ranking) to be pretty interesting. I'm thinking that it may be worth following in their footsteps. I feel that teams that may not be exactly International ready, may find moving up tiers or rankings fun. In this thread, https://playugn.com/forums/tutorial_a_guide_to_the_ccr_list, they list how the rankings work.
Any thoughts?

I don't think vouching would work in this community.
Seems like a cool idea though. Adds a bit more competition.
Also some teams that won tournaments are dead or are still active but don't deserve to be tier 1 as they are not at the level they once were due to players leaving or anything. This list would have to be reset or updated to keep it accurate. -
What I found interesting is that team Epsilon isn't listed in their rankings, haha.
Also, we have a "power rankings" system in ESL, so ranking current teams wouldn't be that hard. The teams that don't disband every other week:
Instinct
Carbon
ABC
Trix
Ace (if they're back?)
Bio
Welfare
Micheal-drk, hotness, and friends
Although all of the last 4 have had inconsistent 5th slots for quite a while.
My suggestion (if you wanted to pursue something like this) would be this:
Pro/Top Tier:
4 teams. Likely these would be Instinct (obvious), Carbon (obvious), Welfare (though they have only had 1 good tournament placement in recent weeks, they're a very solid team), and Enix (the only time they haven't placed 2nd or 1st is when they lost last Sunday 4v5). Potentially Ace Gaming would be competing for a slot, if they're active again?
Open Tier:
Everyone else.
The issue is that, for practical purposes, ESL and ESG do not want to split the prize pool between two divisions. So, all that matters for tiers is bragging rights, which very few people care about anymore. -

The problem with creating team rankings is that teams are constantly disbanding or changing rosters, making it difficult to put a rank on the team. For example my "team" is 3 people with ringers for every esl tournament, which is substantially weaker than our roster for ESG that actually has a set 5
Since there's not much stability in CF teams, it's easier to evaluate the rosters for big events such as ESG than making a singular list. Examples:

Or ZzXQ could fix 90℅ of the problem and lock rosters month to month.

Some don't know how to work together and be a team. They'll play once and if they don't live up to their standards they will disband.
Others have bi polar
Oh and some kids like to not send prize money to their ex team members. -

The better teams in the game usually stick together, but the bad teams cut people if they do bad in 1 match or if the team doesn't become amazing immediately. And then the cycle repeats -

Yes we are.michealdrkk wrote: »The better teams in the game usually stick together, but the bad teams cut people if they do bad in 1 match or if the team doesn't become amazing immediately. And then the cycle repeats
And this sums it up perfectly. Better yet, teams also die due to a lot of internal issues. Happens more than players doing bad and getting cut.
