How to revive the game.
1) Add more tournaments for the competitive scene - It's really pathetic that there are only 2 tournaments going on at the moment for such a big international game. The North American scene is better than most people think it is. We all have the capability of beating the Europeans, the Latins, and give some really hard times to the Asians (as proved by FG Hammertime). The moderators of the game, (the big dogs) need to step up and try to keep the game alive for the competitive scene. The pubstar scene is also dying really quickly, due to the amount of cheaters every game. It's also really pathetic that the only way this game is able to take its last breaths are through launching weapons that are worth $90-125. If the moderators decide to step up and set up big tournaments, I assure that new players will come in and participate and many old ones will comeback. For example, once ESG launched many players, including myself, cameback to participate and have a shot at winning some money.
2) Advertisement - I've honestly seen 0 advertisement for this game. I understand that it's a free2play, but how are you going to bring in new players? Do you guys expect us to bring in the new players every time? I highly appreciate what Jeden (a.k.a black panthers) did for the game, such as bringing in M0e, a professional CSGO player which bringed knowledge of the game to about 5,000 people from his stream. Also, just launching new guns that are worth a lot of money, isn't gonna keep the game alive. People will sooner or later realize that they're just wasting their time and money for a dead game.
3)Client system (Xtrap) - Once again, I understand that this is a free2play game, but, how is it possible that there's always about 2 cheaters per pub? Not only does this affect the competitive scene, the pubstar scene, but not also the games presentation. Let's say,(this is an example) Flifflaren wanted to try this game, and he'd register, and hop in a pub, what is the first thing he sees? Him getting shot through a wall by a shotgun. What do you expect people to think? "Oh yeah, I love cheaters!?" No. People will just go ahead and uninstall because of the number of cheaters. Most people understand that there will be cheaters once in a while, but really, every game? That's just a joke, and when people complain about it, what does the game do? Release a new $125 gun?
4)Corruptness - In reality, this game has always had some corrupt people. But now more than ever, considering there are only 2 teams right now that the game thinks is "good enough to compete in Asia" How about hiring an actual company that has frequent leagues running by fair people? I personally think NA's ESL is a big joke, and I'm sure a lot of people agree with me. Eitherway, I feel like other teams aren't given the "Fair" opportunity to compete against those teams, and actually get a "fair" shot at going overseas and representing their country for Crossfire.
That's just my honest opinion.

Honestly I would not say any of the leagues in cf are corrupt, I would just say they don't have the best resources they need to do well in the community. NESL's biggest issue is the lack of willingness to listen to what the community wants. I've tried numerous times to get them to do things like:
Make the WIRE better for the game as its not really tailored for crossfire specifically in ways I and others would like to see.
The way prizing goes out is another issue they wouldn't listen to me on. I have been pushing faster and individually sent prizes but have been shot down time and time again on the issue.
In regards to other leagues being corrupt I think its just a trust issue. I think ESG just needs a more diverse staff team. Not just some Mods and Mike and I could use some diverse staff as well, but its hard to get more people involved and justify it when there is little to no teams participating in events. I am the only NESL staff not just because I want to work alone. Its also because our events are getting smaller and getting more staff isn't really worth it if we aren't able to get 16 active teams to play an event. As for a "Real company" ESG and NESL are both that. NESL is just a lot newer than its parent host, so they have more kinks they are working through, though I do agree they could be doing a lot better.
Honestly crossfire needs to really look at what csgo has done. If they correlate in game skins / stickers to use a portion for prizing that would help our prize pools be more attractive, but at the same time the game itself is slowly fading as it becomes more outdated in terms of graphics / quality compared to other FPS games.
The community has to have more people willing to make it better if they want it to be. considering you were one of the people over the years bashing projects instead offering your assistance I find it a tad Ironic this post is coming from you (Who at a point trolled seemingly everyone who competed) who now seems to want improvement.
I agree with some of your points, but if you are going to wait for somebody else to fix it all for you instead of taking action and getting involved, you are part of the reason the game will fade away. -

Well Im not saying that will save the game, but with the amount they get from that stuff they should have items that give profit portions to events that way more people play and the prizes will be better and they can still put out in game items for real $ but payouts for events arent the problem as nobody plays anyways even though payouts for this year are higher than ever... kinda sad tbh -
idiot talks about trying to revive the game
what a waste of time
i dont understand y people always bash this game i have been here since the end of 2010 but i played gm switched to snd like 7 months ago and was in the process of trying to get into competitive...but every time i tried to join a team or do anything productive there was ALWAYS people running there mouths and just being ret.arded....how does anyone expect this game to grow or even become remotely active again when people like you r still here anyone new who wants to join see these fourms or go in game and see a bunch of d1cks what do you expect? -
Damn, Carlos not trolling for once.
OT:
It's so pathetic that X-Trap gets payed to do nothing. It's NEVER been a good anti-cheat, I've played for years and I've never seen a period of time with zero cheats. Sure, you get very few, but there's always been VIP cheats out there.
On top of that, while they used to (2010-2011) patch the hacks for a month or so if you were lucky, that's gone, and we're lucky to get a week. And this community full of downies instantly becomes Z8 D-Riders the second they play 3 games without a hacker.
If the lack of any success (longer than two weeks) by X-Trap in at least a year now isn't valid enough reason to break their contract, they have to have untrained monkeys drafting up their legal documents. -
The only time he talked about it on his stream, was him bashing its awfulness.Andrej and I will start playing again when he gets back from Slovakia. I'm lookin to try to do pugs or something while streaming to get more people to play competitive.

Then only point I agree with..
CF has no advertisements around to get the people who can really keep the game on its feet...
I never play for the simple reason that I dont want to play with 15 Egyptians who cant speak a single word of English and kick everyone for no reason.
Give the developers and publishers a reason to give you more tournaments and strop trying to kill any new teams that are starting up and running them into the ground. -

Well said on your behalf. I would like to add on to your advertising statement. Every game I had come across the company allows monetization of content on youtube. Games like minecraft, League of legends, etc allow their players have much more free will. People have careers and channels from these games alone. For north American crossfire this is not possible and our most popular video site is youtube. I'm not trying to show off but I remember when my new subscribers randomly started to nominate me for friend points when they joined this game. Youtubers brought a lot of players to the community. When there were so many editors around the game was live. Sometimes our most popular youtubers want to get compensated for their hard work and that's not possible with crossfire. I'm not trying to sound greedy but the effort it takes to make good quality content of crossfire is high. -
Idk what to say but to the GhostMode competitive scene, it's completely dead due to the macrobhop and other kinds of cheating. Most GMers retired of this game already. For SnD and the game currently, we can't do anything about unless there is no more Admeh or Mohamed with 140+ ping in game. Tbh, this is CrossFire North America, not CrossFire Egypt Hacking "EVERYWHERE".
My points are:
1) stop all the 130+ ping people in game because "it's CF NA"
2) xtrap has never done a their job before. (Xtrap got K.O. in 30 seconds vs Egypt's hack software)
3) competitive starts with fairness, if you can't follow the rules, you're just the same as cheaters like Egyptians with their "hack".
I'm currently playing both GM and SnD and I see it's all the same for the competitive sides. (dead/retired) -

I experience 130-10,000 ping
Some say I live in Africa
I call it bad internet
I'm also Egyptian.
