Is this is a good deal for a mouse?

Looking for a new mouse. i been using a 5 dollar mouse from china and it died in less than a week. i play borderlands, bf3, and so other fps. mainly looking for good build quality.

Really depends on you hand. How big you hand and how you grip the mouse is very important.

Also check to see if the weighting is good/ or if it is adjustable. This one doesn't so you have to be sure you can play with it.

DPI etc. is basically the same with most gaming mice >5000, so that doesn't really matter.

Never had a SS before, so don't know about build quality. From other mice however, the wire braiding is always the thing that breaks first.
