Can't play replays outside of Crossfire.

I would like to watch my replays outside of Crossfire but it say's my Media software does not support this file. I use to be able to do it a while ago, have they changed that?

Used to be able to a while ago? Can you elaborate on that?

As for replays themselves, they are not video files, but pieces of data that ping the server for recreations of the match.

If you wish to be able to watch a replay without using CrossFire, I recommend recording it with Fraps or something similar.

Probably like 8 months to a year ago I was able to watch them outside of Crossfire.
I figured I would probably have to use Fraps or a recording software.
