since there is no rule set for game play yet nor a map rotation available for this weekends cup, when will those be available?
Also just some other questions regarding events:
How do we check in the day of the event?
What sort of thing does the wire do?
Is there any sort of IP Lock on the wire AC system?
(meaning if someone has 2 computers in 2 locations(Different IPs), but wants to play on the same ESL account and Crossfire IGN, will this be allowed?)
Will any other Anti Cheat or client cause issues for this system?
Do we need premium for any crossfire events?
Does ESL have any plans on sticking around for future events?
I have read the European rule set for ESL CF EU, and it does have small variations that are different than leagues in CF NA. Can we expect a rule set we are used to or one more closer to ESL CF EU Rules?
Does the team cap mean extra teams won't be allowed IE if the event says 16/32/64 Does that mean say 24 teams sign up, that only the first 16 will be allowed to participate in the event?
Will ESL be hosting any event besides go4cups to qualify for CF Stars?
Has the wire been tested on Crossfire to be sure it can identify cheats for the game? (Seeing as cheating seems to be a prominent issue in our version of the game)
I notice you said April-July go4cups for will be qualifiers for CF Stars Season 3. So I am assuming the top 4 go4cup teams over the 4 months (Assuming there is 4 different winners it will be those 4) will all be invited to compete for CF Stars Season 3. Is this the plan? Also Does this mean in total their will be 16 or so cups to qualify for these for spots?
Sorry for the amount of questions, I am really glad you guys are supporting CF NA again, and just want to make clarifications so I can help promote the cups in a good way. -

The rules including map rotation will be updated within the next couple of days! But for those who want to reference, the rules will be similar to ESL.eu's CF Ruleset and overall map rotations included.
Checking In will most likely simple as it always has, but for now we can say you come online within the time range given on the Cup Information; which in this case is 5:30 - 5:55 PM EST and match time starts at 6:00 PM EST and so on. Not confirmed though, will update as soon as possible.
ESL Wire is our official anti-cheat and can also be used as a communication program for matches, scrims, pretty much anything. Includes a buddy system and game/custom chat lobbies. [TEXT ONLY LOBBIES]. I'm not a coder or apart of the ESL Wire side, so I can't answer those but I can tell you it will catch anyone trying to get an unfair advantage, including cheating. As far as compatibility issues goes there hasn't been any reports or notices about other programs interfering with ESL Wire, but we encourage people to test it out prior to their match. (If any problems with the client comes up, send us a support ticket on our website ASAP.)
More on CF Stars will be later down the road. -

too add on to the AC information will things like rez modifications (sound or killmark) affect the anti cheat?? -

From my own perspective, they will not. There is no problem with modified game UI's, killmarks and so forth. But things like Shadows and third-party modifications are prohibited. Thanks for the reply. Looks good. Hopefully ESL will continue to support Crossfire. Its much more fun having an array of events ran by different groups to keep the community thriving.
No problem! Glad to see the CF Community is still eager for competitive play! -
Updated thread with 'Quicklinks' for those who need it. Signups are open and teams can start signing up!
Remember you need at least five players in your team (on the website) before you can signup for the cup!We would like to know the map rotation soon, but looking forward to this event
The map rotation will reflect ESL EU's Map Rotation, minus the maps not yet released in this version. -
Esl wire will have a pug seeking system?
We don't have anything setup regarding a 'pug seeking' system for CrossFire right now, but ESL Wire could be used as a PUG/Scrim seeking system due to the chat lobbies. Can Canadians and Americans play on the same team?
Yes, Canadians and Americans can compete on the same team. -
Quick question i had as i was reading the rules:
Will the "MOSS" System be required in the tourneys?
And you should make it clear to everyone that we NEED to save AND upload the replay of both sides because no other organisation (such as ESG/OCG) ever asked them. -

Moss will most likely be removed from our rule set.
Teams will be required to screenshot and save replays both halves. -

Signups are now up and working!
Keep in mind that ALL players must have their "CrossFire Nickname" set on their ESL Profiles to mark a team eligible to participate in the cup. If a player hasn't set a CrossFire Nickname then it will show the leader trying to sign up for the cup an error message for not meeting the League Requirements.
To do this, Click HERE, and then go to Gameaccounts. From here, select 'Cross Fire Nickname' and then in Value you can put your CrossFire IGN OR USN. (A USN is the numbers after your CrossFire Profile: HERE.
