If you enter storage you are kicked out to the channel. Kinda makes it impossible to start a room.

Straaaaaange, but easily solved by visiting storage before trying to create a room, yes?

Yes and no. I go in and out of storage to avoid idling out before I can start the match rather than to switch up load outs. 9 times out of 10 that's why I'm going to storage as host. Anyway, it's a moot point now because the bug seemed to have worked itself out.
