Competitive Teams Evaluation Thread #2
Hey everyone, this is just a thread to give some of my thoughts and opinions on teams in the competitive scene of Crossfire as we prepare for ESG Spring Series to begin.
Each Team will be rated on a 0-10 Scale for each of the following categories:
Aiming Ability: Ability to aim well, and hit shots consistently.
Team Work and Communication: How well you work together, and for the teams who I have heard, how well they communicate is taken as a factor.
Experience / Performance in Matches: Match history / Placement in previous events
Total: Out of 30
The following list consists of the teams I know of that are competing in ESG, and their rating based on the 3 categories above. Keep in mind, this is just my singular perspective and you do not have to agree with it.
As I said before in my first thread. For those who got a high rating, prove me right. For those who got a low rating, prove me wrong.
(#1) Ace Gaming
Being one of the most decorated LAN teams in North America, it is probably no prize that I will be giving Ace Gaming a fairly good rating. After winning CFS 2 Qualifiers over Socks they proved to be one of the best teams in North America. With very good past performance records in NA events, I am sure they will be a contender for the upcoming ESG Spring Series.
Key Players: Ace.Ayrin and Ace.Malte
Aiming Ability: 8 out of 10
Team Work and Communication: 9 out of 10
Experience / Performance in Matches: 9 out of 10
Total: 26 out of 30
(#2) !nstinct (Socks)
After recently coming back into the NA Competitive Scene after a short break, the former WCG USA Champions look to be working hard at rebuilding the strength they had in the fall of 2013. Look for Socks to be a strong competitor in the upcoming ESG Spring Series.
Key Players: Jaime and Ralf
Aiming Ability: 8.5 out of 10
Team Work and Communication: 8 out of 10
Experience / Performance in Matches: 9 out of 10
Total: 25.5 out of 30
(#3) Fly Society
Being a consistent top contender in past events, Its no surprise that Fly Society is high up on this list. With some of the better shots in North America, this power house team is coming off a win in ESG Winter Series and is deffinitely a strong competitor.
Key Players: Andre and LVP
Aiming Ability: 9 out of 10
Team Work and Communication: 8 out of 10
Experience / Performance in Matches: 8 out of 10
Total: 25 out of 30
(#4) AlphaFive
Reuniting former international competitors such as Bertman and Monstar, AlphaFive if they continue to rebuild a strong team could pose a threat if they compete in upcoming events.
Key Players: Monstar and Luwii
Aiming Ability: 9 out of 10
Team Work and Communication: 8 out of 10
Experience / Performance in Matches: 7.5 out of 10
Total: 24.5 out of 30
(#5 / #6) KTT Prime
After doing well in Winter Series Prime has shown that they are ready to rise to the top. With the recent pick up of Ty2K from CFS Season 1 NA Champions Carbon, Prime could continue to rise up and perform well again in Spring Series.
Key Players: Mykl and Mateusz
Aiming Ability: 7 out of 10
Team Work and Communication: 7.5 out of 10
Experience / Performance in Matches: 7 out of 10
Total: 21.5 out of 30
(#5 / #6) Undaunted
After a rough time in ESG Spring Series, with Undaunteds new roster, they have begun to perform quite well as a team. Look for a much better performance from Undaunted in Spring Series.
Key Players: x0tek and Thornz
Aiming Ability: 7 out of 10
Team Work and Communication: 8 out of 10
Experience / Performance in Matches: 6.5 out of 10
Total: 21.5 out of 30

After doing well in Winter Series, and past events, Trix has worked there way up to be a top 10 team in North America in my eyes.
Key Players: Fall and Dr.Gay
Aiming Ability: 7 out of 10
Team Work and Communication: 7.5 out of 10
Experience / Performance in Matches: 6.5 out of 10
Total: 21 out of 30
(#8) Flick
Though flick has not risen up as a top team at this point in time, its safe to say that they have all improved greatly, and have shown they are pretty good as a team.
Key Players: wow and Clan
Aiming Ability: 7 out of 10
Team Work and Communication: 6.5 out of 10
Experience / Performance in Matches: 5 out of 10
Total: 18.5 out of 30
(#9) No Problem
Consisting of some well known e8 players, I think these guys have a pretty good shot as a team. Though they are a newer roster, they seem to work well together as a team.
Key Players: Martinnn and wG.F1ash
Aiming Ability: 7.5 out of 10
Team Work and Communication: 6.5 out of 10
Experience / Performance in Matches: 4 out of 10

Not trying to be rude but why is Undaunted so high up when nearly 65% of the teams below made it further in ESG Winter Series. Undaunted didn't even make it out of group play.....
You gave A5 a 4 out of 10 in matches when they beat your team in a match wtf zz........... -
where do you get all these ratings from? experience from one scrim? lmao
Most likely, undaunted didn't even make it out of groups in ESG. A5 beat them in ESG yet they have a lower Performance/Experience rating. Flick also made it to the 2nd round in playoffs and got a 5/10. I think you're being way too biased toward your team. -

I am not judging past experience by 1 event. My Winter Series team was awful compared to the team we are now. IF Juan would have ran AC we wouldve played Welfare in Round 1 of the playoffs =P -

How would your team deserve a higher rating in Experience and Match performance if other teams have done so much better than yours in the past. Just doesn't make sense. -
Michaelxv205 wrote: »I dunno the competitive community to well but 0-0 this seems biased
Its impossible to evaluate this many teams and show no bias at all. Of course anyone will give there own team a higher rating, because they have seen what there team is capable of when performing there best. -

That category was broken down like so:
5 points max for experience: IE the amount of events you have played in
5 points max for placement history: IE how well you did.
Undaunted was given a 6.5:
4.5 for amount of events
2 for Placement history -

I don't hate any teams either. I respect them all, I just put my opinion out there. -

Good debate never hurt anyone. Internet conflict is harmless. Thats what forums are for. I give my opinion you give yours, we don't have to agree. -

If your team gets a 6.5 then my teams should be higher right? We have a player who went to china, a player who has played 2 wcg finals, 4 players who have placed top 5 in at least 8+. -

Not really, ACE gaming got a 9 out of 10 and they have all been to multiple lans, and internationals. 7 I would say is fair considering as prime Winter Series was your first high placement as a team in a while. You have yet to play an event with Tommy, yes he did got to international, but only once. The rest of you havent done anything more than Undaunted with the exception of you Mykl in 2012 WCG quals -

first tournament in a bit, first time in a long time that the team had a set roster, lol you're dumb -

Did I say a 7 was low for us? You gave your team a 6.5, you're completely delusional if you think your team deserves that. -
Michaelxv205 wrote: »Performing imo is better then walking into events. Anyone can walk into an event but only some can perform, wish this was Fb, get those +1 likes
Undaunted has performed, we just didnt in Winter Series. in late 2013 we got 3rd in ESG Season 1, 4th in OCG SS 1, and 5th in OCG SS 2 -
Michaelxv205 wrote: »Heard Alazar's the reason u guys got 3rd in esg season 1. Coming from reliable sources
Not really, lol. If anyone deserves credit for our ESG placement I would say it would go to Thornz. He topped all but 2 matches, and clutched quite a few rounds. Alazar did decent though, as did all of us in ESG.
