Win 7 Ulitmate or Win 8 ??

I will be buying a new gaming laptop soon.

Which OS should I be using? and why?

Also how do you check to see what your FPS is?

I would go for win 7 ultimate since some people are getting quite a lot of errores using Win 8 when running CrossFire. They prob already patched the errores in Win 8 while running CF there but I am not sure.

I have Windows 8 Professional. It's absolutely gorgeous! Actually, it's much smoother than Windows 7.
And I haven't got any Crossfire errors while using it. Except for the client errors we get everyday.

I prefer Win8. I use it and it's perfect. There are no errors it causes during playing CF.

Also how do you check to see what your FPS is

"Tab" button on your Keyboard...the FPS is under the players scores

Anyways win7 ultimate is the best choice for gaming but in Crossfire it doesnt really make any difference

I prefer win 7 on most of my systems . I have win 8 on my media centre , it gets along with cf just fine but find win 8 takes a little getting used to .

No issues with Windows 8.1 and I actually have less "client errors" with it.
