constantly feeling tired
Alright guys, since the Internet doesn't offer much information about this topic other than offering me some courses I have to pay for or telling me that I don't sleep enough (which is probably the case why, but I will explain it later on)
Problem : I'm constantly feeling tired, when I get up, often in school, when I get back from home, until the evening. When the clock hits 22:00 I'm fully awake somehow. I tried to sleep much more in the last few days, even taking a nap in the afternoon, no major changes were noticed other than I can get easier out of bed in the morning. Sometimes I go to bed at 23:00 - 23:30 , waking up at 7:00, but I went to bed before 22:30 / 23:00 in the last few days.
About me : Currently having the most important year at school causing a lot of stress, family is kinda stressing too since I have two little sisters, I'm working out twice a week quite heavily (to my limits, increasing them week by week)
Question : Might it be caused by the workouts I'm doing? Maybe should I try to sleep much more for a few days/weeks? Maybe I'm not taking too much vitamins? I'm pretty lost, so any advice would be nice guys. Thanks a lot in advance.

You're going through puberty lol. You're probably growing or your stressed out and your body needs the extra sleep. Try to get at least 8 hours and drink coffee in the morning if it's hard for you to stay awake in class. I doubt it's the workout you are doing but it could be. Sleeping isn't a bad thing as long as you are active. Take your vitamins as well..

Do you eat late ? if you do leave carbs alone and try to eat a protein based snack might sound crazy but warm milk with your snack or Horlicks might help. -

Whats your diet looking like? -
Seems like stress is causing you insomnia.
Go pick up a bottle of Melatonin from Wal-Mart or GMC, take one or two pills a half an hour before bed.
It's a natural sleep aid that supplements your body with extra Melatonin, a chemical that induces sleep.
Since beginning my regiment of Buspirone for Anxiety, I've had horrible insomnia, and Melatonin helps me get to sleep.
The only side effect you have to worry about are intense dreams, (not necessarily nightmares,) that cause you to wake up.
Edit: I've seen a lot of references to your exercise regiment; I wouldn't worry about that, unless you exercise to the point of muscle pain. -
Been feeling extremely tired lately too. I force myself up to work between 11-7, I usually sleep about 6-8 hrs on work days but when the weekend comes I can typically sleep for a good 12 hours+ only waking up to pee, and even when I do eventually wake up, It's hard to get motivated to do anything unless I get called out to hang with friends, even then I'm tired. Besides being depressed half the time, I can't really say anything else is bothering me. My diet is pretty fair, I also get a decent amount of exercise in, nothing fancy though, and my social life is good, should I get a checkup?

It looks like your puberty has started.
You need to get start resting way earlier. At your age it's important to start sleepy time at 21:00 so you will fill the 8 hours that you need.
It's not right to drink coffee to keep you awake, because at some point you can't do it without it and most important is that if you don't get enough rest, your concentration will suffer on it as well, which causes bad grades and therefor stress. -

Thanks for the advice, I think I won't go jogging, but that shake seems very appealing to me .Try and see if you have an Iron deficiency. (Actually serious here)
And maybe get a blood test (it's free in the UK I think, not sure about you), it will tell you what you're lacking/overconsuming.
I will visit my doctor on tuesday and see what's up with my body. You're going through puberty lol. You're probably growing or your stressed out and your body needs the extra sleep. Good to know brother, maybe it's just sleep. Thanks!Try not working out and see if you feel different.
Hows your diet? If you're anything like me, you're not eating as well as you should. I feel tired throughout the day because of it.
I'm eating quite healthy, but didn't eat any apples/bananas recently..SU_IC_ID_AL wrote: »Do you eat late ? if you do leave carbs alone and try to eat a protein based snack might sound crazy but warm milk with your snack or Horlicks might help.
Yeah, I often eat before I go to bed. Thanks, I'll try to do that.CactusHorse wrote: »Welcome to the club mate , same here .there is a slight chance that you have the glandular fever, alot of my friends cought it a while ago, it bassically made them really really tired all the time.

Thanks for the tip, let's see what the doctor says. You sir are depressed, stressed or not getting enough voluntary (not school, work) activity.
A dietary change might be relevant, but I don't know how you eat or drink now so.
Stress might be yeah.. I'm not depressed I guess.. I laugh quite a lot and I don't feel to be sad.ryokashoot wrote: »What kind of tired? Mentally or physically?
Could be because of the stress honestly.
And the only advice I could have offered was that the body isn't getting enough exercise but you said you did that already sooo.
Mentally more than physically.. I could work out to my limits, do everything, just my eyes feel so heavy and tell me not to do anything ...Been feeling extremely tired lately too. Could be.. let's see what she will say.S-N-I-P-E-S wrote: »Since your avatar is jewgle play I refuse to give you my superior intellectual knowledge on the human body.
BOOYYY DDONNNT TALKK TO ME LIKE THAT!!Is your vision fine? If not it could be bad eyesight making you tired.
Nah, it isn't. I'm often struggling to see things on the school board and it's just hard to see.Sounds like a symptom of depression.

I'm nearly 17 so I don't think that my puberty has started -

So? Youre in puberty and everything i said is what you must do. Its not right to be tired at such a young age. Only old people get tired and tales rest during the day.
Oh yeah, you are right though.. I should go to bed way earlier.. thanks -

You need to balance everything, hahaha. -
[MOD]Nonnen wrote: »Question : Might it be caused by the workouts I'm doing?
Excessive sweating could lead to dehydration and electrolitic depletion, and then there's the problem with lactic acidosis too.
So, yes it might. -

Well, you can eliminate the red text. Definitely not frequent enough to be tired from.
