Is windows 8 really that bad for gaming?

Well im looking for a pc, and all the windows 7 ones suck -_- And i dont have time to build my own pc.

no it's not, just typical fanboy talk, the criticism about windows 8 really doesn't mean anything unless it's coming from businesses etc.

It's fast. Get 8.1 (clean install is always better) with latest drivers and updates and you will never go back.

I get around 40 FPS more on 8.1 than I did with 7. The direct x with 8 is nice. It's not bad at all when you get 8.1 and get rid of the trashy layout they designed with 8.

8.1 has a few issues with mice in game, but I haven't noticed it too much.

The main thing most people hate about Windows 8 is the metro style. If you don't like it, mod it. It's not all that bad and I've gotten pretty use to it. Even have kept the metro for now. Though 8.1 broke my 8 theme >.>.
