Best way to earn them is program malcious software to target computers that can harvest bin-coins for you. Not that it's something you should attempt but the there's enough legit ways you could use it.. I myself never bother.

i think someone can exchange it for your locally like any other currency, but this is just going to gain popularity then burst, just a fad.

It's only useful for buying drugs off of tor net as far as I know.

haha yeah, some kid in my sister's dorm bought weed off of silkroad and when it came to the PO box at the dorms, they could smell it through the box. kid got expelled.

I heard about it on /g/. Only used for buying drugs and child ****ography. Why would I invest in that? Over a year later.. almost hitting $1k.. How though? It's only that high because of the trend and buzz about it. It has no use besides trading between each other and MAYBE you'd find someone willing to pay you cash for as much as they claim they're worth.

buying drugs with it is the most prominent however
