Green Team
Sorry but you tried.
The Bottom Line
As we have noted several times now, the Radeon R9 290X dominated the GTX 780 and GTX TITAN in Ultra HD 4K display gaming. The new GeForce GTX 780 Ti changes this ownage, and gives AMD competition at Ultra HD 4K resolution. The GeForce GTX 780 Ti gives you exactly the same gameplay experience as the Radeon R9 290X at Ultra HD 4K display gaming.
The statement above is very important. Though the AMD Radeon R9 290X now has competition at Ultra HD 4K display gaming, it isn't being "owned" by the GTX 780 Ti. The GTX 780 Ti, at $150 more, only equals the R9 290X. Both video cards are even, or on par with each other at Ultra HD 4K gaming.
The fact is that the Radeon R9 290X is delivering the same performance once again for a $150 savings. It takes the competition a $150 more expensive video card just to perform on par with the Radeon R9 290X. This reinforces our conclusion once again that the Radeon R9 290X is an incredible value right now. You really do get a lot of performance for your money.
The GeForce GTX 780 Ti has helped NVIDIA match the Radeon R9 290X in performance at Ultra HD 4K display gaming. However, AMD is doing it for $150 less. The only benefits the GTX 780 Ti holds over the reference R9 290X at this point, is that it is quieter and produces less heat. It's hard to justify the sound profile as being worth a $150 price premium.

not sure why would anyone be surprised, nvidia is known for ripping off people
I mean just as AMD releases R9 2xx GPUs, the price drops. obvious bs right there.
mind you, the 780ti is still somewhat a better choice (if you happen to have the money for it), might be AMD driver issues or so, but the 99th percentile in the GTX 780ti is a LOT lower than the R9 290X's in most cases

comparing AMD to Nvidea is like comparing a viper to a ferrari. they might go the same speed but one is clearly built to last and has better features. while the other has driver issues. the only reason they bought a viper is because they can't afford a ferrari.
what i'm saying is AMD is the poor mans version of Nvidea and that nobody cares about AMD. -
I love getting the Red vs. Green battle going.
Drivers haven't been an issue.(Now running Eyefinity and Crossfire was an issue but has been addressed and fixed.) I have a 1400 that works JUST fine. All the way up too my current 7970. Obvious the older cards won't support new drivers due to the cards don't have the needed hardware. But also who is even trying to game or gain performance out of something that old anyways.
As for the Ferrari.
Hennessey Viper > Ferrari
Same as AMD > nVidia(Not sure when nVidea hit the market)
Most argue Physx. Look at the market not many games at all support it. Price to performance is obvious winner. Most also argue the standard cooler on AMD's. Don't like it buy an aftermarket to suit your needs or find another manufacture who makes a revised card with an aftermarket cooler on it already.
Also with the turn of the console market(AMD Hardware) and AMD coming back to the spot light. See much more optimization coming AMD's way. Then the green team. -

My AMD card is 5 years old but I don't get driver support anymore. Nvidia would never do that (smart bussiness choice). -
Love amd for making nvidia drop prices. People blindly hate amd because theyre too much of a fanboy to nvidia when they dont realize that its because of amd that nvidias cards are a little affordable. For 150 more than a 290x you can get a tiny increase in performance. idk who would ever choose a 780ti against a 290x unless they have a ton of money to spend. Still waiting for non reference coolers so i can buy the 290 non x. best bang for buck right now.

so you're saying viper or ferrari owners are bad drivers?CrackinDomes wrote: »Most argue Physx. Look at the market not many games at all support it. Price to performance is obvious winner.

Sorry, Green Team had, currently and always will dominate anything Red Team comes out with.
Do you just dream the day AMD finally contacts you to be their official shill on z8 forums?
Because it looks as if that's your current goal.
I respect BOTH sides. As Do I when it comes to AMD VS Intel. Will I buy an Intel. NEVER. But they make AMAZING chips. Same goes for nVidia.
I come on here just to get debates going. I barely am around here anymore. So when I do come around I like to stir things up a bit.
Don't assume things. Makes an ASS out of U and Me.
