everything, preferably metal, folk, rappahs, classical and some metal/hiphop fusion (hollywood undead only, really).
cant stand deathmetal and that s..tuff without melody or discernible lyrics.
I think metal/hiphop fusion is one of the worst ideas to ever hit the planet musicwise. lol Completely different genres that really don't have anything in common.MrNiceGuyyy wrote: »edit : should we post a video for evey genre? -

That's way too circumstantial. To me, Death Metal has always seemed like musicians trying to hard. And the music may sometimes be intricate, but the vocals will always be just noise to me.
OT: Metal. Mostly '80's Thrash.
Megadeth, Evildead, Kreator (pioneer of Death Metal!^^^), Metallica, and so on.
Actually going to the Kreator/Overkill concert in Kentucky November 21st. -

Death were more of the death metal pioneers than Kreator. Chuck Shuldiner molded death metal for all future bands in the genre. -

I dont think you need to be able to read sheet music to understand its complexity. If you're trying to impress me with your ability to read sheet music... Nice man. Cool talent... Anywho, I didn't discredit Death or even say, to the slightest bit, that Kreator was more influence on the Death Metal genre. If you didn't know, there are more than just one band that helped create the Death Metal scene of today. I like Death. Their first and last albums were my favorites. Again, Nice man. Glad you could make those connections. I am very impressed. -

Just saying. Thread about music genres and you keep bringing up the ability to read sheet music. I'm just trying to make sense of it
Kreator was a pioneer of Death Metal. Along with Venom and Slayer. Several other bands are also credited with helping it. The band Death has even said that Slayer impacted their style.
That's like saying the chicken came first, when obviously it had come from the egg. o_o -

I don't care if its extremely hard to play the music, that does not make it any better in my ears (or mind rather).
I'll happily listen to Haggard (closest to metal I enjoy), but then I'll switch to Mozart, some Mumford and Sons and round off with Bad meets Evil. -
I have no idea how you can argue against my personal taste.

Why else would someone go "No, the exact opposite of your post is true, and they're really the most talented musicians" in a thread where all you have to do is state what you like.
Theres no need to defend the genre or opinion of it, I promise to not think lesser of death metal fans just because I don't enjoy (understand) the music. -
I listen to metal, and not that crappy 'I'm going to scream my larynx out' stuff or any of those lame bands like BVB and BOMTH and BFBFRB or whatever they are called.
I prefer bands/artists like Pantera, Metallica, Megedeth, Judas Priest, Ozzy, Dio and some new bands that incorporate screams into their sound like Bullet for my Valentine, Avenged Sevenfold and even Children of Bodom. Yea I know they are Melodic Death metal, but I just can't resist listening and playing like Alexi... He's just so good and fun to listen to. -
I'll go ahead and guess that you just accidentally quoted me the first time.
