Theres still mantle to come. The gtx 770 is still $30 more than the 280x. For only 5% more performance. But 280x has 3gb memory which will help in the future. Its nice nvidia cut prices but I was hoping they would do it for the 760.

If Mantle is actually useful then I don't see why anyone wouldn't want to get a 290x or a 290 unless they were a fanboy.

Yeah still waiting for the 290 to come out. Its cheaper then the 780 with 1 more gb of memory. Unless the 780 ti has alot more performance, even without mantle its still not worth buying over a 290x.

AMD pays developers to implement mantle. It'll only be on a few games. The 780 beats the 290X at both overclocked settings since 290X barely had any overclocking headroom, 780 looks better, is quieter, and runs cooler. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=djvZaHHU4I8 Skip to 8:45 for benchmarks.

You wouldnt be able to do it 24/7 even if you had the time. Your GPUs and CPU would die after 5 minutes.
