Giving it a ride. Never messed with it after all these years. Figure give it a run and see whats its about. Need to learn it. So I can play around with SteamOS when it comes.
Rig:
Processor - AMD 965 BE @ 4.0ghz
Cooler - Coolmaster V6
Motherboard - MSI 870A Fuzion
Power Supply - Antec 450 Silent Dual 12v Rail
Memory - 4 GB's OCZ Gold 1333
Hard Drives - Corsair Force Gt 120gb SSD
Graphic Cards - GIGABYTE HD 6850 1GB GDDR5
Monitors - 22 inch 1680 x 1050
Operating System - Elemetary OS Linux
Thing is SUPER fast. Boot times and response times are amazing.
Linux I am messing with at the moment is: http://elementaryos.org .
Plan to take a run with the following as well:

http://zorin-os.com/

i believe xfce works better on older systems or systems like netbooks, kde is more old school, most popular and cinnamon is newer and comes with newer features i suspect, comes with bugs though, i am not really too educated on the differences, but i was told to download either kde or cinnamon, i asked how most people decided, and it came down to preference really, for linux people kde vs cin/gnome is just like osx vs win, i think kde supports multiple monitors more stable, in your case that might mean something to you, however i would get both and explore between cin and kde, i heard mate just doesn't compare to those two as well -
