I literally downloaded a game too,same thing happened to me he will be missed my many people.

Sad because he was pretty young, they say no cause of death either, used to enjoy the books when I was younger.

Since 2008, he didn't make games. Ubisoft bought his name in 2008 to be put on the titles.

Great books, I'm told.
Jack Ryan movies; The Sum of All Fears, The Hunt for Red October.
Games; Splinter Cell, Hawx, Rainbow Six etc.


He was pretty big. Not Obama or JK Rowling big, but thorough and talented at what he did.
I'm yet to read the books though, so I don't know for sure.

A Deep Thought?

It is reassuring to see that the next generation is realizing that Mr Clancy was already an Icon because of his Literary prowess and not just from the spin-off games that followed. I accept that these said games have become a Legend in their own right but, as I stated, I am still happy to see that younger folk will realize where these ideas first were born.

Once again I say R.I.P. Mr Clancy and may your work always be shared and never clouded.

I always smile at your posts, Duke. Especially the use of image/music to increase the appeal of your post.

OT: I read the whole Jack Ryan universe so far, including the newer series with his son.
I have yet to read his non-fiction or other works... but I am sad that he is gone.
