Government Shutdown

WE THE PEOPLE are to blame for not getting rid of these morons and letting them convince us that our differences as republicans and democrats is the issue, we're letting the country fall apart while we are mesmerized by miley cyrus as the Saudis slowly but efficiently dismantle our political foundation as we slowly fall away from the judeo christian laws our founding fathers established.

Leaving Miley Cyrus aside...we can't really kick out Congress until the election. Majority of Americans will vote new representatives, that is for sure. Republicans don't really care I believe. Because they are still getting paid as Government workers. Only due to the 27th Amendment. Without that, then I think the Government wouldn't have shutdown in the first place. Pres. Obama is extremely ignorant to not have intervened at all. -

the only people that will be negatively affected by the government shutdown are the poor, unfortunate but true, while some may be abusing and living off the welfare system, many families will not receive their welfare benefits even at a state level due to the federal spending being cut off. don't get started about the ignorance of the great O.' i sometimes wonder who is more ignorant, the people that voted him in the 2nd term or himself. the man is a joke and has completely collapsed in his latter term, (as expected). even as a republican, i was really hoping this man wouldn't screw up so bad, but his fail economic policies and deceitful administration along with laughable foreign policy has left me with no hope. things can only get worse and will get worse as people remain idle. -

Well not only the poor. The working class and middle class also are affected. Maybe not immediately but if you work for a third-party industry that is mostly doing business with the Government, they lose profit. Government businesses are shutting down. Yeah, people are working, but for what? They aren't getting paid until this dispute is over. I think we, the people, are a bit to blame as well. Pres. Obama hasn't gone through at least half of the promises he said before he started his 1ST TERM. And we trusted this man to run for the 2nd term.PR0PAGANDA wrote: »it's not like he can ... fire'em Lol
While he can't fire Congress, he can try to bring up a resolution, but no. He says No one wants a Government Shutdown. That includes him, but he didn't do anything about it. -
nothing will happen. same procedure as every few years
FED will turn the screw on those printers and everything is just fine!
that`s the good thing about owing yourself money!
bow, 99%, BOW!

Even if the Shutdown ends, we're still about to reach the debt ceiling. Which Congress and/or Pres. Obama is being too optimistic on dealing with it since we're pretty much screwed if we reach it. -

Reality Check!
I had hoped you all would realize the difference between sarcasm and seriousness *cough*tho sometimes I can't tell :P
This world we are a part of is occasionally surreal, more like we are left feeling like outsiders who are watching a badly scripted movie methinks!
The leaders here in the UK are making me wonder tho, maybe the joke is on me! -

Reality Check!
While 'Merika is under the spotlight I think a question needs asking....
If you see the Private Prison Industry in a certain light, with the prison population always kept full of 21st century slave-labour for sale to the highest bidder...is the future gonna be this?
Your children are being readied for the Overlords and you can't even see! -
such a big deal over something that is given in the civilized world, free health care.
Lmao. We're not getting free health care. It's not the same "universal" health care system that exists in other countries. The ACA is nothing more than a gross subsidy for the insurance industry. -
not to mention it is very costly, by costly, i mean unsustainable economic damage due to people not wanting to hire full time employees, democrats are really out to screw people over, republicans do it too, but the democrats make the republicans look like angels

Its been down since yesterday.
And i hope you all know that all law enforcers, security teams are all still working. If anything was to go wrong then the government will be called ASAP. But i highly doubt it will since its gunna be down for just a week. -
You can't turn the government back on just like that. They have to pass a bill to get everything running. Terrorist attacks are still dangerous, no matter on how much we spend on D.O.D. per year. It doesn't stop a bombing in a random place. ie; Boston Marathon bombing. It happened, D.O.D. couldn't prevent it because they had no knowledge. Government shutting down is a big ordeal in the long run. Right now, it only affects Government officials, excluding Congress, soon it'll hit the middle class and working class, that's us. We'll be affected in the long run.
