That makes two of us then. You're a grown man now, it's time to open your eyes. Stop being in denial
It's people like you who I hate really.
I don't know much about religion and I'm not of a specific religion now.
So you're saying all Muslims have no purpose? What's your purpose then, to be a racist on a forum?
Pathetic.
Not all Muslims are terrorists
Most terrorists are Muslim
Plus a large number of the Middle East isn't Islamic, go be stupid somewhere else -
Why not? I'd drop napalm all over middle east if I had the chance. Nothing good comes from islam, at least in Europe
you should probably start to travel the world a bit. putting everything into perspective.
Also if you want to stop the Mainstream Media from force-feeding you trash, turn of your TV. think for yourself. -

Parts of my extended family is Muslim and they are nothing like you described, you're just another person who's been sucked in by the media.
Go in the world and stop believing people on a screen -

media? i've been to the middle east, please shut the hell up for god sakes, people are burning churches left and right and it's not even in the MEDIA, by both factions of muslims, extremist and non-extremist -
My post was huge exaggaration. You need a cat scan if you've actually failed to see it.
I'm fine with muslims as long as they don't try to implement sharia law in non-islamic countries.
and abuse women on daily basis in their own land)))Parts of my extended family is Muslim and they are nothing like you described, you're just another person who's been sucked in by the media.

I've been to the Middle East on holidays as well and have never seen such thing, possibly a hatred for Muslims, causing you too make stories to influence other dimwits to believe you. I'm probably much younger than you and have studied religion, been around the world and met inspirational individuals who just make me hate people like yourself -

The Quran does state you may beat your wife very lightly and not cause too much harm, people forgot to mention that it also says a man must respect his wife, if she wants to be paid for doing house work, she must be paid.
It also teaches respect to women
More than the bible IMO -

yeah if you are comparing it to the old testament,
"4:34 Husbands should take full care of their wives, with [the bounties] God has given to some more than others and with what they spend out of their own money. Righteous wives are devout and guard what God would have them guard in the husbands’ absence. If you fear high-handedness from your wives, remind them [of the teaching of God], then ignore them when you go to bed, then hit them. If they obey you, you have no right to act against them. God is most high and great"
hahahaha hit them okay, bro

Because everything on the Internet is true right. I was refraining from quoting the bible or Quran as they're out dated. Oh and Americans don't do anything to Muslims?
I'm not justifying osamas actions in anyway but people In the Middle East are being bombed constantly and no one bats an eye, Muslims retaliate and Muslims are now labelled terrorists?
As said before, relying on media, not even reliable media to get the truth
Pathetic -
Is this the part where you have nothing against beating women? Haha, this discussion is over now

I haven't read all of the Qu'ran, but I'm sure thats a valid quote.
For the purposes of this, I'll at least assume so.
This strikes me as imposing limits on the abuse, rather than encouraging it.
Meaning, if you have to hit her, do it when you feel that you have no other choice, do it 'gently' (hah), don't do it excessively etc.
And I'm guessing most Muslims take it to heart, in that they're bound by the limits of the paragraphs.
As a result, they probably beat their wives a lot less than drunkard trailer trash.
Theories, of course. Always theories. -
I'm all for taking out the government of Syria and the Al qaeda backed terrorists in a single easy swoop, but I find it hilariously Ironic that Nobamas entire election campaign was devoted to getting out of a war (Which hes yet to do) and now seeing hes rushing into this... ROFL COPTER DEMOCRATS VOTING FOR WAR. Shows how messed up political parties are.

The problem here was that he was suggesting strikes before clearing every other option.
As it turns out, they hadn't asked Assad to turn over the chems, which he agreed to.
That should have been question one, not rushing an attack plan to congress and THEN asking the peaceful questions. -
Well, hes obviously not rushing in to war, as evident by the fact that they're not engaged in one - even though the world is not lacking bad men.

I can see you don't understand this war. The only reason Assad agreed to hand over the chemical weapons was so the American forces wouldn't attack. Assad's trying to win this war, and he pulled a huge juke on Obama with public opinion.
See Obama wants a certain one of the two rebel factions to win this war. He doesn't want Assad or the al qaeda backed rebels to win, so he tried to force his way into the war, but once the U.N said no to an attack, he had to try to weasel his way past it with the chemical warfare attack, however it got stuck in congress and gave Assad enough time to make a play to keep the Americans out of it. It was basically a 4v1 ninja defuse for Assad. -

Obviously, to anyone with common sense, Assad likes to win wars and agreed to hand over chems to stop an US attack.
Not sure how you gathered that Assad formed public opinion against an US attack though.
Very few people listen to him. You're very much under-estimating the capacity for critical thinking in the general population.
They're against an attack because they're against an attack, for their own reasons - not because Assad is a PR mastermind.
Obama is already backing the rebels, in a (to me) more politically devastating way than flying in a few RQ-1s, by sending in guns and supplies.
Lots of guns. Like Iraq, and like Afghanistan.
If the public climate changes, though I doubt it, any US/UN boots on the ground are going to face US-supplied weaponry.
The interwebs public didn't really care about that embarrassing fact in Iraq and Afghanistan, because they're way too young.
But now its sort of out there, regarding Syria, so it'd be political suicide to send in boots.
It's pretty naive to think the "good rebels" are the only ones touching the free guns, but he can't stand idly by and he can't do a proper charge, right now.
This conflict doesn't interest me much though, cause it doesn't affect me at all, but I've caught on with the media hype.
Egypt is far more interesting. -
Drpeck3rable wrote: »See Obama wants a certain one of the two rebel factions to win this war.
There has been reports of a ballpark number of around 1500 different rebel groups operating in Syria.
The ones with the "biggest" headlines are the Free Syrian Army and the Al-Nusra Front. -
This war is not about Syria, it is about the region of land where Syria is located. Israel is the only interest for America to attack Syria because of mainly syria's alliance with Iran, currently israel's biggest threat. Syria is a critical region because of the mid sea which is a major supply route for Iran and Russia, who both are conveniently allies with Syria and each other. In addition, it is also an excellent staging ground for an attack on Israel. If the US does decide to attack, expect their presence to be there for a while along with Israel.

do i need to take a picture of where it says it in my quran too? -
Cmon Fallout, we both know that the quote is taken out of context. I also confronted a Imam about that same quote and there are certain conditions that have to be met for that to be the case. I also confronted him about why Muslims are allowed to have/or how they can have multiple wives, etc.
Idk why you guys are getting all riled up about Syria. No one should give a damn. Should worry about the things that are real for you like student debt, how the hell we are milking our own people dry, minimum wage is unsustainable lifestyle, etc.
