Portrait or Landscape

Still in debate on if I wanna waste money on a mount.

Any feedback would be nice.

I can't test portrait due to my monitors can't do it unless I grab a stand for them. So therefor I have been playing in Landscape for ever.

Wouldn't landscape be better anyway for gaming?

I am thinking of getting a dual monitor setup aswell, but it'll most likely be landscape. Or perhaps 1 landscape 1 portrait. Landscape being the one to do the gaming on (duh :P) and the portrait for browser and other applications.

I'm quite a newb when it comes to that so I wouldn't be of any help for you sorry
Personally I find dual monitor setups best when they are on a stand (I have it like that @ work). I wouldn't put them on the wall just because I'd like to adjust them every now and then.

This is how mine sit currently. Still on their stock stands.

I just see a lot of mixed reviews about it. Both setups.(Portrait and Landscape)

I would try portrait but no way to get them to stand up.

you should 3 x 3 monitors = 9 total, so you get the best of both worlds, landscape and portrait!

Don't encourage him...We talk about monitors all the time. I can send you some pics if you want crackin with only one screen in portrait.

To be honest I have thought about it.

But after doing the math. 6 more monitors. 2 more 7970's and then a MASSIVE PSU. Gets costly. Let alone then getting a mount to hold them all.

Also have debated and priced doing 5 in a row.

Also another thought was doing 3 x 30's. And replacing my 24's.

Pictures don't justify what I wanna know when enjoying it. I can look at pictures all day. But doesn't answer the personal questions I have in reference to it.

All 3 would be vertical side by side. With an Eyefinity resolution running. Possibly try for a 5 in a row vertical. Because my screens now are 6 feet wide another 2 24's landscape would be insane.

Landscape I think is better for gaming.

i think portrait would suffer more from the thick screen border/outline, so maybe a new set of screens first.
