Barclays Premier League

Alright guys, so happy the seasons underway again!

As a Liverpool supporter I was happy with the win today, Mignolets penalty and double save was amazing! Got my season ticket for this year, looking forward to the Utd game now!

Tell me who you support, how you think you'll do and who you think will go up and down this season?

I'll take this as my top four:

1. Chelsea
2. Man Utd
3. Man City
4. Liverpool (have to be optimistic and with Arsenal not strengthening and Bale on his way out of Tottenham I think we've got a chance).

Not sure about the relegation battle but I'd have to say:

18. Hull City
19. Cardiff
20. Crystal Palace

The three teams who've just came up, to go back down, don't see anyone else going down to be honest. Although I would love to see Stoke gone!

  • season ticket for Liverpool? Nice.

I don't follow the BPL, only the highlights on internet when Manu plays against chelsea and games like that.
But i support ManU and hope they get the title again. That or get to the best four in the champions leaque. ;)
  • top 4
    1:manu
    2:manc
    3:chelsea
4: spurs/liverpool/arsenal, could be any of those 3 i think. -> depends how good bale and suarez play.
    dont know about lower 4.
  • Nah, Chelsea will get 2nd or first. Third place is too low.
  • Poor Arsenal :(
and poor Sagna :( that was hard to watch

Haven't seen the incident, heard he fell on his neck or something?

I'll be watching Match of the day later.

    No City? Interesting!
  • *Barclays

That's how you spot a liverpool fan ;)
  • Im a chelsea fan and i believe we will finish second this, simply cause we have many young inexperienced players. However next year I feel like chelsea win premier league by at least 10 points.

    1. Manchester Untd. they always find a way to win, even though they got dominated by swansea.
    2. Chelsea- if rooney joins i believe we can win the league, besides I think lampard is going to be top scorer.
    3. Arsenal - once again wenger doesnt spend, but the team has really good chemistry.
    4. Manchester city - they spend over 100million this summer, but money doesn't buy trophies.

Good luck to you all and your respected clubs.

Haha no I want stoke to stay, cause they provide always a big test for big teams with their defensive skills and LONG throw ins. And of course they are the best on set-pieces.

Arsenal having good team chemistry? Did you watch them today? lol

The Tony Pullis days are gone. At the game today the Stoke fans were singing "We're Stoke City and we're passing the ball" which was quite funny. They never once put a long throw in into the box, so it looks like things are about to change for The Potters.

Can't spell Barclays, but can spell Mignolet, oh dear haha.

    Who'd you support then?

No sorry buddy, I missed todays arsenal game. But when I saw them play against Manchester City in preseason, they really surprised me.

They haven't strengthened though, whilst everyone around them has, bar Utd, but they're a championship winning side anyway.

They need players, it's as simple as that.

well, all i can tell you is that, they will definitely finish above Liverpool, who is just seem be going down and down year after year. If suarez is not happy at liverpool, then i can't see them finishing in top 5.

You obviously don't follow the premier league if you think that.

We're far from winning the league but since the second half of last season everyone can see we're progressing and playing the best football in the league. Without champions league football it's hard to attract so-called 'big names' but we're on the brink of signing Willian from Anhzi which will be massive.

Suarez is back training with the first team and we're not selling him, it's as simple as that.

We've got a better win ratio without him anyway, and with the depth we not have in the squad, with the likes of Sturridge, Aspas, Alberto, Coutinho, Sterling, Ibe and hopefully Willian, we have plenty of other options.

We didn't have that type of depth last year and that's why we struggled early on, now we can push for that champions league spot and I feel we have a good chance of getting it. Tottenham have a better squad than Arsenal at the moment, but with Bale hopefully leaving it will be a big miss.

Arsenal have to play Fenerbahce to qualify for the champions league, which will be a tough test, especially with the pressure on the current squad and morale being low due to the club not spending.

lol please, i follow every match, just missed arsenal because it wasn't broadcasted on my tv. Liverpool always puts up a fight against top teams but they always and i mean always struggle against teams like stoke, fulham, west ham, baggies, etc. We should just keep this friendly thread going through out the season lol

Once I get into my football you can't stop me lol

We didn't 'struggle' against many of the lower teams last year though, we either just couldn't score or made silly mistakes. We dominated the games possession and chances wise.

Although, like I said, we were lacking depth and we had nothing to change things up. With the depth in squad now though, we can change things up and approach games in different ways.

lol yea I argue about football all the time. And if you couldn't score against them its because you "struggled" lol. Also if you dominate posession doesn't mean you will get the result you want. Like barcelona they dominate posession with their boring football all the time and yet they still lose sometimes. Im just happy mourinho is back, I can't believe real madrid treated him so badly, including players like casillas, ramos and even ronaldo. Anyway keep posting on here or pm me, if your interested in discussing the best league in the world.

    Go Blues KTBFFH

But, todays game against Stoke we dominated and had 25 attempts on goal. If it wasn't for Begovic it would of been a rugby score, maybe we struggled to score because of good goalkeeping, but we didn't struggle to win.

You can't not love Mourinho, glad to see him back, even if it is just to take the title away from Utd whilst we catch up.

I don't know to much about the situation over in Madrid but I think the media made things out to be more than they were. Although, there are to many big egos over there fore my liking and they must of clashed now and then.

yea i went to the chelsea vs real madrid final this summer, and i swear i was the only chelsea fan there, along with some drunk guy. The fans every around me were singing in spanish, " no mourinho no problem" but the worst when they started chanting " mourinho your s**t we hope you die" man i swear i wanted to just get up and punch of all those *****s in the face.

Wow that's heavy, a bit too far.

Spanish seem to have that about them though, they couldn't give a sh*t.
  • yea especially their diving. Im suprised spain doesnt have a good swimming team. Good luck with your season. talk to you later.

lol im sure u spent it wisely, like on caroll and downing ROFL!
  • 1- Manchester United
    2- Chelsea
    3- Tottenham Hotspur ( I'm fan since 2005. I remember Ahmed Hossam :) )
    4- Manchester City

I don't watch a lot of Tottenham games but I remember Bale + Lennon = speed hack.

Any online page to watch live matches?

    nutjob.eu (what I use mostly)

    Wiziwig.tv
  • We all know Crystal Palace will be on top.

I'm just kidding... realistically I'd be surprised if they came 19th, otherwise they'll be relegated, for sure. Especially knowing that they lost to Spurs today, they didn't put up much a fight.

    I'm guessing...

    1 - Manchester City
    2 - Chelsea
    3 - Manchester United
    4 - Spurs

We all know that Bale wont be going for a while, and honestly I'm calling this. Arsenal will be the same, hopefully make 5th, but honestly I don't see them coming 4th again, especially if Rooney is wanting to go there.

Anyway, that's just my opinion, don't shoot me down, even if you do, I honestly don't care because, ma team be reppin' da Championship. :'(
