I like Insomniacs Idea. To be fair, we have been in this event for 7 matches and those teams who just join deserve to have to work harder to make it to the playoffs. You should let the 3 #1 seeds move on if Kanzen and PDF win. Then let The next best 3 or 4 teams playoff for a spot if you want them to have a shot as well. This seems more fair because yes they deserve a chance, but to be fair we have played out matches since day 1 where these new teams have not. Or who knows maybe goingup or Sprayops will take out PDF or Kanzen. We can't assume they are going to lose, we just have to be prepared if they do.

So, assuming that we beat Goingup, and PDF beats sprayops:

We would have to play a 3 team round robin, AND then the loser of that, has to play ANOTHER mini playoff against the remaining 4-6 place teams JUST to determine the 3rd seed?

That's pretty stupid to put that many matches on a team that already placed top 3 in our group. If you are set on making it fair for the remaining 4-6 teams that decided to jump into the tournament last minute (all those teams were around before the tournament started), make the little mini playoff thing be between them.

EDIT: This is not because I don't want to play PDF or RTB. I could care less if we played them again. I just don't want to be playing matches from 5-10 EST two weekends in a row when it's obvious who the top teams in our group are. And prime and sprayops jumped into our division one week before playoffs. They don't deserve a chance to get into playoffs when our division is the way it is right now.

But you want the team we're supposed to play to be replaced. If that's the case you should have to replay all of your ffw matches against real teams too.

(the loser of the top 3 teams in our group)


than to disenfranchise the bottom three





i dislike it, but i understand why

Well I'm sure you can figure this out yourself but...

Round 7 match - one hour?
Round robin - 2 games, 5 round halves - Maybe an hour?

If 3rd place -
Sunday - 2 games best of three at most. It's really not that much.
