The reason I'm asking is because there were 3 other teams besides Carbon that lost in the quarter finals, so they could have gotten anything from 6th to 8th depending on how they come up with the placings.

This is a TERRIBLE attitude to have. "We got beat, better split up" leads to two week teams. Believe it or not, picking up new talent is not the only way to improve your team :O

What Carbon needs to do is reflect on their experience, and determine WHY that lost. If they lost because the players just didn't mesh in a way that they'll be able to fix, then yes, picking up new people is a solution to that problem. However, if they all meshed well, and lost just due to being outplayed, then they should stay together as a team and work on improving. You don't make a team because all your players skill levels are high, you make a team because all your players can get along and improve together.

The fact that Carbon was able to beat one of the Chinese teams is an achievement for them. This isn't Ricky Bobby, just because you didn't come first does NOT mean you placed last.

We lost by 1 round to Modern buddy who lost by 1 round to IG. But yeah we got blown out.
