CrossFire Stars Stream Issues

I laughed so badly when the commentator was like:'HAHAHAHAHA, FUNNY HEADSHOT. HAHAHA'
i think it was fine that there was only 1 stream but i wish the people did a better job on the free cam(which they did in the WCG before) and that the commentator was english. The commentation was unenjoyable for everyone. If it would've just been in chinese, chinese people could actually understand something. This way everyone loses. GG -

It was meant to be a "International" event, which means people from all over the world would be participating and watching the event. Everything you said is saying that China is being bias. NO event should ever be like that and is very unsportsmanlike.
I'm sorry if I am looking at this very maturely and in a professional manner. If they expect to gain anything from having these events, then they should look at it as a marketing tool.
Having a large event such as CF Stars or WCG is a great way to show off and promote a game but if the company wants to slack off and do a terrible job at gaining more players then WTF are they doing in this industry?
Stop thinking about yourself and start thinking outside the box. The casting was down right terrible. People like you and me can understand what is going on but how are new people that have never played CrossFire before suppose to know what the hell is going on?
There we go. I disagree it being an international event, as the teams were invited last minute to beef up the competion. Was probably an all chinese tournament they were gonna hold at first. So they did last minute comendations. Anybody with half a brain can see that. China didnt even have to provide the english commentators, but they did anyway. You were not looking at with a professional manner or you wouldve understood what I meant in my first post. -

1)The casters know very little English or they dont no how to shoutcast. It was very boring to watch.
2) They only streamed one match at a time. Yes they have 16 teams and a double elimination but that is no excuse to do such a poor job at streaming the matches. The Frost Gaming LAN took only 1 day with 12 teams in a double elimination and we had more streams going on multiple channels. CFS has 2 days with more resources, I mean come on!
3) The person handling the in game camera must have been drunk.
I remember vaguely that I asked a specific someone about these issues, but I guess it was never mentioned beyond the conversation.
Hope Season 2 can do a better job.
Tell me one thing:
You were part of 1 lan, national wide, kinda small, and you are now the self proclaimed guru of lans?
I laugh about how you complain about this like you are a guru of this events.
I doubt you will ever know the ammount of effort something big like this, even though its crossfire, takes.
I mean, changing your forum name to LANjpurvis speaks for itself, its pathetic.
And ''hosting an event near you'' are you coca cola or what?
Just because you were part of an event with some hill billys doesn't make you a WCG guru or whatever, it makes you just the same kid you were in the past. -

Well I could at least say he's one LAN host wiser than me.
But true, I think if he had more hosting experience under his belt more respect would be given or something -

China already has CF Pro League which has a large event setting. CrossFire Stars was always meant to be an International event.
As for the casters, the CF Stars Qualifiers for North America has not only english but a Portuguese caster for the CFSA viewers. An event that was only meant for North America had a separate stream for South America players. Want to know why? Because it was professional. Expanding the range that people can view the matches.Tell me one thing:

So instead of staying on topic about the streaming issues you decide to go off course and try to insult me? Well now that is very mature of you.
Just because someone does not "DO" something doesn't mean they dont "know" about the subject. Like a coach for a team, the coach doesn't play but he knows what to do. -
Maybe we stay on topic, although it seems like the thread is just a place for people to complain about the casting.
Yes, it was done poorly, and that's unfortunate. Hopefully Saidin or another G4Box member will be able to stress our disappointment, and it will be addressed at future events, but at this point there isn't much we can do.
Focusing on what was done right is always a good thing to do too :O -

Say whatever you want, but DO NOT say that our qualifier for CFstars was remotely professional. For Christ's sake i do not need to repeat what went down. It was one of the worst and poorest handled/executed tournament/event that anyone can imagine.

Yes, you're right. CFNA Qualifiers wasn't professional at all due to the time restraints for the tournament. But as for streaming, it was surprisingly good.
I could list the thing that needed improvements but this isn't the time nor place for that discussion. -

JP is speaking only of the casting side. -
for me, streams aren't a big deal and should be considered a luxury. Be thankful you saw what carbon guys saw. You experienced at least some of it. This was the first season and it was clearly rushed, give them a break
Yea, this, and what Saidin said about the being focused on popularizing CF in China are most likely the reasons for it.
I honestly don't really care about the cast quality, I just like to watch the players, but an improvement wouldn't be a bad thing. -

Which it was. It was a event hosted by chinese people. They don't need to speak english. It was hosted in China and they showed the matches from the teams that would be enjoyable to be watched. Teams that have been around longer which are Chinese teams. It makes sense to me. -

exactly, purvis too dumb to understand -
Always complaints when an event happens, regardless of which event. Be lucky enough we have it for how small and somewhat idiotic our community is. The event itself was great - they put quiet a bit of money into the tournament held in China if those who were just complaining chose to not watch the actual streams/footage.
