Getting into the Competitive Scene

Personally, I find that equipments does give you an advantage. An example of this is a mouse, you have the option of customising your own sensitivity which can help you aim better, etc.... Equipments are just details, so if you are used to it and comfortable with it then there's no problem.(no need to waste money)

I have the Deathadder (3500dpi) and I just love the way it fits to your hand, also it has those 2 buttons on the inner side which I think of as really handy considering that I use it as my P-T-T button. Makes communicating easier. -
Personally I use a horrible Dell mouse that came with the computer, and lately it has completely ruined my playing :P It's too old, right click doesn't work ~80% of the time, and sometimes double clicks, which means I can't snipe now... And left click double clicks, that's just plain annoying for everyday use.
Really, the equipment *matters*, but not so much so that you can't win without. If you truly want to win tournaments and go far, though, you may want to invest in a good mouse. I know I'll be looking for one soon. -
Well..I have no problems at all but I seen people with gaming mice shooting bullets much faster than I can. They fire a ton more bullets than I can while spraying.
The only way people can shoot more bullets than you is if they have higher fps. The only benefit of having a gaming mouse is it's more sturdy/lasts longer and your aim will improve a little (not significantly but noticeable) -
I wouldn't worry too much about what gear you have. I do think having some good gear (good mouse and mouse pad) can help, but it's better to use what you are comfortable with. Some of my best moments in the competitive scene of some games was when I was using a generic dell laser mouse. I would focus more on your aim, and your game, more than what equipment you use. Best of luck.

The Logitech G400 is a pretty cheap mouse and it has a design identical to the MX518, which is superior to most other mouses. It has a low price point, but one of the best sensors out there which offers zero prediction.
You can check if out HERE if you're interested. :P -
Always wondered though, do all the players here use a gaming mouse? Seems like all the players I see have such low spread. I want to know if it's possible to get into the competitive scene with just a junk mouse :c
Here's a big tip have a huge ego and play well.
