    It's whatever.

How famous does at LAN will be the important thing.

    LOL

  • You're dumb. That is discolored because the guy in b window was the one that got the "I found it in B" message thing. So his dot on the map did the little wifi looking thing because he had a radio message. watch it again, you can see that when he turns it's still going off. It blended with the bomb.
  • I just used a moonstone to evolve my pokemon into NIDOKING, no big deal.
Feels kinda premature having a lvl 16 nidoking tho
  • That explains why all his montage, gameplay, livestreams are all blurred around the corners of the video. He uses the same overlays.

  • Lmao.

The dots only seem to appear for about 1 or 2 frames. Say his webcam is recording at 30fps, that gives Famous only 1-2/30ths of a second to figure out the positions of his enemies. I doubt anyone has the ability to spot such small dots and figure out where everyone is whilst in the progress of aiming/shooting/moving/Etc.

If anything, the fact that people think Famous cheats would mean that he's an even better player than his "legit self".

    lmao

I was the only one that defended him on the forums, the only person to actually comment on the forums and get bashed on. You don't think other people wanted to do it? I can act mature, it just ridicules me that you didn't care to take into consideration the faults of mav's video. You always wanted fam0us caught, I've known you for a while you always wanted him caught for cheating so you jumped to conclusions and just went off against him.

Idk about others but i personally called you an idiot because you clearly posted 2 videos in defense that were blurred out and then kept saying there is no blur like you didn't watch the videos you posted in the first place. It had nothing to do with defending famous.

As for the matter regarding famous cheating... Personally the evidence wasn't enough to make a statement that he cheats although I did see some weird pigmentation in a few clips on the radar when mav was going over famous' gameplay which was interesting considering you're not used to seeing that or at the very least paying attention to it in that degree. The discoloring was explained on this thread; however, you don't know for sure if that is what's happening in his video. Before someone comes out and says to hop off of "famous' d1ck" i'd like to say that i have no bias towards this situation as I don't know famous nor have I been in a game with him in the past 2-3 years.

Overall I'd like to suggest that leagues should require on-screen recording and no external devices. Now i've heard of the possibility of over-lay cheats and i'm not even sure if they exist or are just a scare tactic but if this is a problem i'm sure leagues will find a way to require everyone to record to the ability that quality will not be a concern for reviewing a hackusation.

Regardless of whether or not famous cheats, gl to the US team in wcg or w/e this is for. It's not like the Chinese are planning to lose anytime soon :/
  • I don't know whether famous cheats or not but honestly his camera should have been of better quality. If he can afford quality gaming keyboards, mouses, headphones, and computers he should be able to afford a decent camera. lmao.

I'ce personally seen Famous's raw unedited uncolored gameplay footage and I cam assure you, I never daw any dots.
  • Man saiden you're really ******ed. Enjoy sending another team that will lose in the first round at china. Then lose its 2nd round in losers bracket. cf.jpeg
Note to concept why would we trust some famous fan boys opinion over evidence ?
He should also have a better cam just saying. I record my game from the farthest point from the minimap too. luls

Idk if I can post the link to my video in here, but if I can't can a MOD just take the link out and leave this post here.

Anyways, as all of you know, Mav posted that video that I can't link on here, but you've all seen it so what is the use of posting it.

    Video responses first:
In this video, I took the rounds of the matches that he brought up, and guided you through the complete rounds showing you what I heard, what I seen, what calls were made, and even guided you through what my thought process was. Turn your sound up so you can hear everything. At the beginning I talk about the situation and at 7:40 I talk about how the video is going to work. At 9:15 or so, the rounds start. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KCqWtdUL8bs&feature=youtu.be

Denxi's video: In this video, Denxi is showing that the red dots are just anomolies and that they don't line up with where players are. He explains it very thoroughly. I have no affiliation with him, he isn't even really an acquaintance of mine. I have talked with him just a couple times and that goes to show that he didn't make this video because he's friends with me. He made this video because he noticed all of this stuff and realized that the video was falsely accusing me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3J7VN8TAJ3Q

Saiden's thread is the last link I will post: http://forum.z8games.com/showthread.php?t=249001

Now, there is a very common question that keeps being asked: Why didn't I use bandicam?

Answer: After a zombie game that a lot of us know well (idk if I can say the name) had an overlay cheat come out that made it possible to record on the game client itself and the cheat wouldn't show up on the recordings, many, many people started to jump on the "famous uses overlays on bandicam" boat. I got tired of that and bought a 60$ webcam that I thought would be good quality so that you can watch what I am doing exactly as I'm doing it. I thought that would get rid of all the people saying that I cheat, but obviously it only provided another avenue for them to run down.

I asked Erick if it was fine that I used the webcam and he did say it was fine, so Al can stop acting like I persuaded David to let me use the webcam. I said "Is it ok if I use a webcam to record instead of bandicam, if not, I'm fine with using bandicam I would just rather use the webcam." Other players throughout the CFL season used webcams so don't act like it was something new for someone to use a webcam lol. I was fine with either way. To be honest, if I were to use some kind of toggling minimap hack, wouldn't it have been more logical for me to use bandicam? I could have done something as simple as: Make the Pause/Resume recording button on bandi the same as the toggle button and voila, a foolproof way to get away with it. I would be one of the dumbest players in CF to RECORD myself toggling.....

I really don't know what else to say, if you still don't believe in my legitimacy, that is your own prerogative. I don't care about your opinions enough to sit here and argue with you. You can believe what you want. The proof against it is right in your face and if you choose not to see it, my words won't change your mind.

thank god. You are my hero.
When I saw that noob Mav's video I doubted you a little bit.
    Sowwie!

    xfam0usx numba 1 4eva!!!!!
  • Weather he's legit or not I could careless , lets just see how he does at wgc.

Something saidin said that I laughed really hard about was "Our Hack investigation team sees no specific hack with the functions listed."

You're hack investigators clearly cannot specify almost 95% of the hackers in crossfire.

My main account is banned due to chargeback and my other other main is forum banned.

It was a decently high priced web cam, so he says.
  • famous cheating

I think the video from Denx says enough and that famous was playing legit.
  • Watching the video famous posted was a lot of fun. Hearing the team chat and kinda posting his thoughts as he goes. " take the ****ing bait!!"

You're still too gullible thinking that he's legit because of the videos.
  • i've deleted some of the trash.

as per Saidins warning, it will be closed next time.

keep it civil and to the point.

refer to this thread for information on the incident, do not make new threads on the subject.
there has been ample time for most of the competitive community to comment in this thread, but as certain individuals can't help but act their age and intellect, this thread is permanently closed under Saidins guideline or until Saidin himself decides to re-open.
  • I'm going to reopen this for now to allow discussion, mostly because there is not another valid thread to do so.

Discussion can include any new information or evidence people would like to share.

If your evidence is to continue to show compression artifacts on videos and point out potential red pixels then we would ask that you please refrain from doing so.

If people cannot continue to act civil in this matter then we'll close it up again and remove users as necessary.

If you have made your point heard in this thread then leave it as is. We'll read all the points made here. There is no reason to continue to make yourself heard for the same things over and over again.

There are plenty of dots indeed.

I have highlighted a bunch here which are completely irrelevant. Also, unfortunately photoshop compresses the image itself when editing over top, so it's actually difficult to get the exact same pattern you have in your example image. This alone shows how poor video compression and image compression is when dealing at such low resolutions.

There are multiple red dots on his hands, created by artifacting and compression.

There is also red dots on the door.

There's also some around the Character Icon and health indicator.

I'm assuming that you are pointing out the dots on the Radar though, the 2 near A site which are somehow exactly the same size of the stairs. Plus the one near B-Site. Notice the pattern is continued here where the dots seemingly always end up near previous points and markers that are either red or orange. And the one on the bottom half of the radar which would be a very odd place for an opponent to be traveling, considering that spot is borderline outside of the map.

You can recreate some of this just by using photoshop and saving an image as a lower quality JPG.

Also resizing a huge 1200+ pixel screenshot down to 720p will also help this process.

By using this process I've managed to recreate some dots. While this isn't perfect hopefully it can demonstrate that these are artifacts and not red dots on a hack.

    Consider the following:
    • Of the ESP hacks that we have seen, they require a menu to toggle features. We never saw a hack menu throughout the video.
    • Of the ESP hacks we have seen, all of them show radar positions outside the actual radar. So if you were further away the hack wouldn't keep you in the radar circle, it would display outside of it.
    • Of the ESP hacks we have seen there are some that show radar position not even on the mini radar itself, you would have to somehow fit the hack in the right spot over top of the original radar, and even then there would be random indications of white pixels in behind red pixels.
    • If you don't believe the red dots are caused by artifacting why aren't they more accurate (with respect to the point above). Why are the white dots fairly accurate but the red ones are always blurry or kind of feint?
    • Why are the majority of these cases when the player is on Black List, which can also clearly show who has the C4 and also pings the map red when the c4 is on the ground.
    • Consider that as a simple example we can very easily recreate red dot artifacting around the map, around the screen and in similar spots to the presented example.

Please excuse the forum breaking images here. For this, I wanted to keep them at least within the realm of reproduction.

So yes, while the fact that not having him on Bandi was an issue. The fact that we allowed him to record his monitor was not. The issue here was that we did not understand it was to be recorded at such a low quality. This created the artifacting which is being used against him in the red dot theory.

Recording you actually playing the game is no different than being at a LAN. We can see all the movements and it should be a great way to prove innocence. But the problem here is the video is muddled, and because there is a grey area it gives the opportunity to all the people who don't want to believe there was no hacks involved that chance.

At this point people are only seeing what they want to see and refusing to accept sound logic and reason. The fact that people are ignoring the idea that there are 'red dots' all over the map, and only focusing on what could be player positions, even though those positions are clearly NOT the actual in-game positions of the opponent, or they are in completely illogical positions based on the skill level of the teams involved (ie you would only find me in those positions in some sort of 8v8 pub game). We have to conclude that there is no hacking going on for this.

People have good and bad days, I'm sure you have had them yourself. But that does not mean you hacked on the good day and didn't on the bad.
  • Wow lol, that actually took me sometime to read. Thanks for all the info Saidin it was actually quite interesting to read :)

Good luck to Carbon, maybe we should Apologize to xfam0usx for the Hackusation? just a thought :)

Why? It's pretty likely that he did cheat but it's impossible to prove it.
